ITV7 Racing Tips

13:50 – Balmoral Lady @ 8/1 (Win & EW)

Jockey: K.Shoemark | Trainer: E Walker
Balmoral Lady makes significant appeal in the Coral Charge, offering plenty of Group  form. The four-year-old resumed her winning ways with a Listed success at Haydock in late May and backed that up with a solid third in a handicap at Chester, showing she handles various conditions with ease. Though stepped up to Group 1 company at Royal Ascot, she fared best of the rest behind elite sprinters, and this drop back into Group 3 level should give her every chance to dominate here. Racing off a mark around 102, she carries her form well in Class 1 company. With Kieran Shoemark retaining the ride and Sandown’s good-to-firm surface a clear fit for her action, Balmoral Lady ticks all the boxes. making her a confident selection to go well.

14:05 – Way Of Stars @ 9/1 (Win & EW)

Jockey: P J Mcdonald | Trainer: A Balding
Way Of Stars looks well placed to build on recent progress in the Bet365 Handicap over 1m 6f at Haydock. The three-year-old scored off a mark of 84 at Goodwood just weeks ago, demonstrating his staying potential and improvement for the step up in trip. That strong effort came just under a month ago, and although he’s 4lb higher today, he remains unexposed at this level and is clearly trending the right way. Trained by Andrew Balding and ridden by PJ McDonald, he benefits from a top yard’s guidance and a good jockey booking. The good-to-firm Haydock surface is ideal, and Way Of Stars should go very well in what could be a breakthrough handicap performance.

14:25 – Treasure Time @ 3/1 (Win)

Jockey: T.Marquand | Trainer: W Haggas
Treasure Time looks a lively contender in the Coral Sprint Trophy at Sandown. The three-year-old has been shaping well this season, notably when a close second over 6f last time out, and there’s a sense he’s coming to the boil at just the right time. He ran a solid race over course and distance earlier in the campaign, so we know he handles the track’s undulations, and a small rise in the weights shouldn’t stop him going close. With conditions expected to suit and a decent draw, Treasure Time ticks plenty of boxes and looks primed to run a big race.

14:40 – Estrange @ 1/3 (Win)

Jockey: D.Tudhope | Trainer: D.O’meara
Estrange looks cut out for success in the Group 2 Lancashire Oaks at Haydock, bringing top-class form and a clear affinity for the course and distance. Her reappearance win in the Pinnacle Stakes here in May was a commanding display, cruising to victory under Daniel Tudhope and stamping her authority over 1m 3f 175y. That performance confirmed her as a filly in very good order, and stepping into this class just six weeks on keeps her momentum firmly intact. With strong family speed and a proven action on well-turned spring turf, she ticks all the boxes for another front-running display. Expect Estrange to set her own terms and look for her to make the most of this right-handed test at Haydock.

15:00 – Blue Bolt @ 2/1 (Win)

Jockey: C T.Keane | Trainer: A.Balding

Blue Bolt looks a lively contender in the Coral Distaff at Sandown, a Listed mile for fillies and mares. The four-year-old has already shown she can run on this course with a strong effort in a similar class race here earlier in the season. She backed that up with a solid performance over 7f at Newbury, leaving the impression she’ll appreciate the extra furlong today. With good-to-firm ground expected to suit her fluent action and a 7lb claimer taking a bite out of her weight, Blue Bolt targets a bold showing, especially if she gets her usual smooth early gallop and times her run well.

15:15 – Minstrel Knight @ 8/1  (Win & EW)

Jockey: C.Beasley | Trainer: E.Bethall
Minstrel Knight looks well placed to deliver in the 1m 3f handicap at Haydock. The four-year-old has shown he’s at the top of his game this season, including a sharp recent win over 1m at Newcastle and a close third on testing ground at Chester. Stepping up in trip here should bring out his stamina, particularly on Haydock’s undulating profile. He now races off a mark that’s spot on, and the booking of an in-form rider adds confidence. With conditions expected to hold good, Minstrel Knight strikes a fine balance of form, fitness, and pace, suggesting he could be in the shake-up right to the line.

15:35 – Ombudsman @ 1/1 (Win)

Jockey: W.Buick | Trainer: J & T.Gosden
Ombudsman looks to hold serious claims in the Battaash Handicap at Sandown. The four-year-old has shaped like a sprinter on the upgrade, most recently finishing a close third over 5f on the all-weather—a performance that showcased his early speed and finishing drive. He has previously run well at Sandown and handles well-turned tracks, so the return to turf and firmer ground should suit his style. Now racing off a mark that reflects his current form, and with a positive booking in the saddle, Ombudsman combines course knowledge, natural speed, and forward momentum. He ticks plenty of boxes and looks primed to play a leading role here.
