He showed immense promise on his second start in November, bolting up to win a Newcastle maiden by an impressive seven lengths. Although he returns from a 221 day absence tomorrow, he represents the elite yard of William Haggas, which is currently operating at a stellar 21% strike rate. With world class jockey Tom Marquand booked to ride, connections clearly expect a bold showing. He has to carry a penalty for his previous victory, but he possesses clear star quality and remains the standout class horse in this nine runner Class 3 field. Sharp Move is a very exciting prospect who looks poised to resume his progress with a dominant performance over this trip.

Storming Point looks the standout selection on Tuesday’s card. The Gary and Josh Moore-trained colt has hit the frame on all three career starts and was only beaten a length in a competitive Windsor novice last time out.

The step up to one mile and two furlongs looks likely to suit based on his pedigree, and Jason Watson’s booking only adds confidence.

This appears a golden opportunity for Storming Point to finally break his maiden and register a deserved first career success.

This unexposed 3yo gelding, by Showcasing, is a fascinating contender as he makes his handicap debut in the Class 4 Try Unibet’s New Smartview Racecards Handicap. He put together a highly consistent sequence in the spring, finishing a close second on all three of his All-Weather starts at Newcastle and Wolverhampton. You can safely draw a line through his latest run on soft turf at Chester, as the testing ground was clearly against him. Reverting to his preferred All-Weather surface tomorrow, he should find conditions much more to his liking. Running off an opening mark of 77, he remains completely unexposed on polytrack and represents the powerhouse stable of Charlie Johnston. With veteran jockey Pat Cosgrave in the saddle, Showcasing Star has excellent prospects of bouncing back to form and looks ready to make a major impact on his handicap debut at a big price too.

The booking of Rob Hornby catches the eye and if Arnaz can rediscover his best form, he has every chance of outrunning his odds and springing a surprise.

See The Mountain, a very promising 2yo colt trained by the renowned Andrew Balding, makes his highly anticipated racecourse debut at Salisbury. Sired by 2000 Guineas winner Kameko and out of a Galileo mare, this juvenile possesses superb paper credentials and was purchased for 70,000gns as a yearling.

His dam is a 1¼-mile winner and a half-sister to Irish Derby hero Latrobe and Oaks runner-up Pink Dogwood, indicating there is immense class and potential stamina in his pedigree. The Andrew Balding yard has an excellent record with debutants at Salisbury and Callum Hutchinson’s booking is another positive.

While Ralph Beckett’s Squadron commands plenty of respect, See The Mountain has the breeding and connections to make a highly encouraging start to his career.

Heffernan Kingdom heads to Musselburgh with strong claims after showing significant improvement on her second career start. The daughter of Hello Youmzain showed plenty of early speed at Wetherby before only being headed in the closing stages.

The drop back to a sharp five furlongs looks an inspired move and should allow her natural pace to come into play. Andrew Mullen retains the ride and knows exactly how to get the best from this progressive filly.

She looks capable of making all and finally getting off the mark.

Bohemian Breeze – 4.13 Brighton (5/2)

Bohemian Breeze looks primed to continue his love affair with Brighton after a cosy course-and-distance success earlier this month.

The six-year-old grey, trained by Gary and Josh Moore, relished the unique undulations of the seaside venue and remains on a workable handicap mark despite a rise in the weights.

The Moore stable continues to fire in winners and a return to his favourite track could see Bohemian Breeze complete a quick-fire double.
