Le Beau Madrik was close in both bumpers when second twice and then went on to win a Class 2 maiden on hurdle debut in what was quite a warm race. Looked like a duck to water over the obstacles that day and has the making of a very clean and reliable hurdler. Form of that race has already been franked once with the second placed horse going in since and that makes it some of the best form available in the field. This five year old remains very unexposed and looks open to any amount of progress on what is only his fifth start. Goes up in trip today which on pedigree looks a nailed on positive and should be fine on the ground, same conditions as the win lto. Represents a top yard in the Skeltons and has a strong jockey booked in Tristan Durrell. This may be a formality for this youngster if progressing how he is likely too. Looks the winner.

Le Beau Madrik looks a cracking NAP and has the profile of a horse capable of going on to much better things. After finishing second in both bumpers, he made an immediate impact on hurdle debut when winning a warm Class 2 contest in convincing fashion.

That form has already been franked, with the runner-up winning since, and the manner of victory suggested there is plenty more improvement to come. He goes up in trip today, which looks a clear positive on pedigree, and conditions are very similar to last time.

Representing the powerful Skelton yard and partnered again by Tristan Durrell, Le Beau Madrik remains very unexposed and could easily be a cut above this field if progressing as expected.

My Turn Now hasn’t been seen since October and so there is question marks over freshness and form dating back to March reads 60845. However, has ability and has enjoyed success with four wins to her name including two over C&D. The break may have done her good and yard have a decent record with returning horses on 60+ day breaks. Has the benefit of Sean Levey today who is riding well at the moment and enjoys success at Wolverhampton. My Turn Now has a plum draw in stall 1 and if getting out front nice and early may take some pegging back off what is an attractive mark. Decent chance at very nice odds.

My Turn Now is an interesting Dark Horse at a big price. She hasn’t been seen since October, but the break could be exactly what she needed, and she’s now back on a very attractive mark.

Crucially, she’s a course-and-distance winner here, with two of her four career victories coming over this exact track and trip. Drawn in stall 1, she should be able to get into a prominent position early, which is often key around Wolverhampton.

The booking of Sean Levey catches the eye, and if she’s ready to go after the break, she could easily outrun her odds and make the frame — or better.

Seven year old Luwdvig has been progressive this term with form since of 7341. All culminated in a strong performance lto at Lingfield when winning nicely and whilst under a penalty for that win today, has been going in the right direction and looks set to defy top weight here. Runs the same trip as lto on suited ground and this actually represents a drop back in class. Yard ticking along nicely for a smaller stable and J M Quinlan gets the ride. This isn’t a particularly hot race and lots of these have question marks hanging over them. Luwdvig is a major player and wouldn’t be a surprise victor.

Form of 58353 since February 2025 and whilst it doesnt scream obvious contender, this seven year old is on a nice mark and this represents a marked drop in grade from previous runs which include a Listed Novice in February last year. Represents a top yard who have a good history here and a great jockey aboard in Trisan Durrell. The form from the race lto has been franked twice already with second and fourth going in since and this looks a fantastic opportunity for Pony Soprano to do the same. Ground is ideally suited and this seven year old could take some stopping today. Looks a winner in waiting.

Pretty open affair here at Chepstow in this sixth race and one who looks nailed on for a big run is seven year old Dangerous Touch from the Olly Murphy yard. Last won this time last year at Ffos Las and after three decent warm up runs this season, looks primed and ready for this. Has regularly hit the ground running come January and this year looks to be no exception. This is a nicely found race from the yard which looks suited to this horse. Will stay the trip, acts on any ground but best in these conditions and has arguably the best in the business to do the steering in Sean Bowen. Yard and jockey have been scintillating at times when paired together and they are no stranger to shared success. Dangerous Touch is a danger to the field today and has a big chance at returning to winning ways.

Daaris enjoys this track, it’s as simple as that, rarely underperforms here and has won here three times including just after Christmas. Only 3lb higher today and this is arguably a weaker race. Has a fantastic draw in stall 2 and after a poor result lto at Southwell, looks set to bounce back on this return to Wolverhampton over a preferred shorter trip. Jack Mitchell gets the ride and he’s a man in red hot form with a near 30% strikerate in the last two weeks. Yard and jockey also have combined for nearly a 20% strikerate when paired together at this course. This is a winnable race, and Daaris looks a major threat on the return here from a mark only a couple above last winning mark.
