Reason for Tip

Four year old with form of 2313 and hasn’t really put a foot wrong so far. Course debut here today but her only win came on his only win at a right handed track and Hereford is also a right hander which may play to her strengths. Has the best form in the field and both trip and ground are ideal here today. We’ve not seen the best off this girl yet and there isn’t much in the field that looks capable of dampening the chances of Ride Like a Girl today. Yard have a 60% strikerate in the last two weeks and are quite simply just firing in winners left right and centre and Gavin Sheehan is not far off those numbers either with a 50% SR. Should win today.

Two-year-old filly who made an immediate impact when winning on debut at Newcastle before being pitched into Listed company last time out at Redcar. That was a deep race and the drop back into Class 5 company today looks a huge positive.
Storm Esme is nicely bred, retains plenty of ability, and looks well placed to return to the winners’ enclosure. Yard and jockey boast superb records at Leicester, winning over 25% of their rides when combining here.

Verdict: Strong chance — looks the clear winner on class and form.

Reason for Tip

Quite a wide open race here and one that catches the eye is three year old Joshuas Dream. The odds at time of writing are 40/1 and so it would be a lie to say this horse is a likely winner, but there is some notable points of interest that I think make Joshuas Dream a worthy outsider candidate. He had a decent year last year with form of 5523 all of which were in higher grades than this race. Had a very long spell off the track from July 2024 until September 2025 when he made his return and he finished 17th. However, that’s a huge break and he can be forgiven for needing the run and is likely going to strip much fitter here today. He also has an inform apprentice aboard today instead who takes off a huge 7lb and that’s a lot of weight and makes him very well handicapped on old form. Obviously there is risks involved, but in this grade and off this mark with the apprentice allowance it wouldn’t be a huge shock to see Joshuas Dream run into the places and if he goes even better than that, well it’s a huge price winner that we all hope for. Outside chance.

Vocito’s form may look mixed on paper, but closer inspection reveals plenty of promise. He posted good efforts earlier in the season (331 form line) before two below-par runs that can be forgiven — one over an unsuitable trip and one when agitated at the start.
Back over 2m and running off a workable mark with a handy 7lb apprentice claim, Vocito looks very dangerous at a double-figure price. The Murphy yard are flying, and this course suits his running style perfectly.

Verdict: Massive value each-way — looks primed to bounce back.

Experienced five year old who tends to prefer the AW but from the turf tracks, does seem to prefer Musselburgh which is a positive for today. He remains very well handicapped and I think 10/1 is a bit too long and a bit of value. He won off a mark 1lb lower here back in July this year and has the added benefit of Natasha Cookson today who takes off 5lb with her apprentice allowance and this put Ana Emaraaty comfortably below last winning mark. The trip today is slightly shorter than ideal but is well within comfort range, especially off this mark. Well drawn, from a top yard and very nicely handicapped today, 10/1 is a big price, but Ana Emaraaty has a genuine chance here.

Six in the field for this Class 4 ay Yarmouth and the one who seems to have the best chance is two year old Ballybunion from the Bell yard. He was very green on debut when finishing 7th over C&D but improved markedly when finishing a close second lto behind a 1/4 favourite. Likely to improve further here and if he does, should take this. There is a few debutants in the field, but none from overly imposing debutant yards and so whilst they could still be anything, not a great deal of concern about their chances. Yard have a good record here and in form jockey Hector Crouch aboard for the ride. Likely winner.

Three year old from the Margarson yard who had been knocking on the door and finally got up to win lto on eighth start. Won nicely that day and it was on not ideal ground and so the rise of 3lb seems lenient and she remains open to further progress back on firmer ground over the same trip and at the same course. She is drawn well and has always ran very well from a low draw here. Should take the rise in her stride under a positive ride from J F Egan who is enjoying a good spell, has a good record here and was the jockey aboard Ironist lto when winning. Lots to like, major player.

Has been progressive on all starts so far and likely to take a big step forward here today on handicap debut. This is a relatively weak entry point and Urgent Call has shown promise including a good third in a hotly contested Class 3 maiden at Southwell lto. Calmer waters here and whilst the principles pose a threat, we definitely havent seen the best of this two year old and Urgent Call is taken to improve past the other competitors today. Jack Mitchell gets the ride and he has a good record here. Urgent Call was heavily backed lto and didn’t prevail, but I think that first win is quite likely here at Kempton today.
