Reason for Tip

This seven year old is never usually far away and whilst he hasn’t won since January this year, has been close on a number of occasions, particularly when second at Wincanton lto. The decision to find a race over 2m4f looks a positive one as best results have come at that trip. The forecasted good ground will very much suit Bobby With An I and this looks a very reasonable race that he can get on top of and return to winning ways. Been progressive on the figures on all starts since return this year and no reason that progression will subside today. From a great yard with a good record here and has a strong booking in Brendan Powell who is no stranger to success on Tizzard trained horses. Looks a rather straightforward affair here, one that Bobbi With An I is taken to win.

This looks a very solid opportunity for Bobbi With An I to return to winning ways.

The seven-year-old is rarely far away and has been knocking on the door all season, most recently finishing a strong second at Wincanton last time out. The move up to 2m4f looks a positive, with his best performances coming at this trip.

Forecast good ground is ideal, this is a very workable race, and his figures have been progressive on every start since returning. From a yard that does well here and with a strong jockey booking in Brendan Powell, this looks a straightforward task on paper.

A lively Dark Horse in an open-looking Cheltenham contest.

While recent form figures of 65P75 don’t leap off the page, Shannon Royale has shown his best form over three miles, a trip he finally gets again today for the first time this season. His two runs this term have been at least progressive, and fitness should now be spot on.

This is a race where many have questions to answer, and the key positive here is the jockey booking. Sean Bowen takes the ride and has an excellent record at Cheltenham, particularly at this time of year.

With a clean round and a well-timed ride, Shannon Royale could easily outrun his odds and make the frame — and he wouldn’t be a huge shock winner.

Five year old who’s been somewhat inconsistent at times and has tried both hurdles and flat disciplines. Hadn’t ran over the obstacles for 6 months when returning to them earlier this month, finished 6th that day and should strip a little more competently today. Will probably appreciate a quicker pace and looking at this field likely to get that today. One thing that is suited is the ground and trip, both are ideal and this is a weaker race than most he’s contested recently. Good jockey aboard and represents a strong yard in good form. Should go close and wouldn’t be a surprise winner.

Pretty open race here in the 1.05 at Musselburgh and Marty Mcfly looks primed ready for this. Returned for seasonal debut in November when and then looked sharper lto here at this track when 4th of 11. Again is likely to strip fitter and looks set for a big run. Knows how to win, trip looks to be more preferred than some he’s ran, and the good to soft ground that is forecasted is perfect. Has looked better and better this term and that trend is likely to continue. Has the service of a top jockey in Brian Hughes and he has a strong record at this course. Good chance for this eight year old to return to winning ways.

Field of unexposed youngsters here in the 3.40 and the stand out selection is Solly’s Gold from the James Owen yard. Didn’t have the cleanest of runs on debut lto at Wetherby but showed good resolve to kick on and win nicely in the end. Gets the same trip again today and looks a smart type who is likely open to plenty of further progression. Has the best debut form in the field and there is plenty in this field that can be written off. Represents a top yard who are having a great season and one of the best in the business aboard in Sean Bowen. Witha any further improvement, Solly’s Gold probably takes this quite handily. Looks the winner.

Distinct lack of form in first few starts but looked a different proposition when handicapping and form in handicaps reads 21. Won nicely lto at Chelmsford and a 3lb rise doesn’t seem enough to curtail any efforts at the double. Has a good draw today out of stall 3 and Luke Morris retains the ride after the win last time. Does go back over 6f today but has shaped as if that won’t be a problem and given the nature of the last two runs, further progression looks nailed on. This isn’t an overly strong race and it looks to be between Rosieisme Darling and the Dixon trained three year at the head of the market. Current form makes Rosisisme more appealing and whilst the other is down in grade today, the jockey booking is less notable. Lots to like and this three year old has a great chance at completing the double.

Somewhat inconsistent, but conditions look ideal. Rukaana returned to hurdles earlier this month after a six-month break and should strip fitter today. The ground and trip are spot on, this is a weaker race than recent assignments, and a good pace should suit. Strong yard, capable jockey — shouldn’t be far away.

Marty Mcfly – 1.05 Musselburgh (4/1)

An open race where Marty Mcfly looks primed. Improved significantly last time out when fourth here and is likely to be fitter again. The trip and good-to-soft ground suit perfectly, and Brian Hughes is an obvious positive with a strong record at Musselburgh. Big chance to return to winning ways.

Solly’s Gold – 3.40 Cheltenham (3/1)

The standout in a field of largely unexposed runners. Solly’s Gold didn’t have the cleanest debut at Wetherby but still showed plenty of ability to win well. That form sets the standard here, and he looks open to significant improvement. Top yard, top jockey — with normal progress, he should take plenty of beating.

Rosieisme Darling – 3.44 Southwell (9/2)

Jockey: Luke Morris

Has taken a big step forward since entering handicaps, with form reading 21. Won well at Chelmsford last time and a 3lb rise looks lenient. Drawn well in stall 3 and Luke Morris keeps the ride. Drop back to 6f shouldn’t be an issue, and further progress looks likely in a race lacking depth.
