The six-year-old produced an emphatic five-length victory in this race last year before going on to win the Irish St Leger. He returns to the Curragh after competing at Group 1 level, most recently finishing a highly creditable fourth in the Ascot Gold Cup.

Dropping back from that marathon distance to one mile and six furlongs should suit him perfectly. He holds the strongest official rating in the field, handles quick ground and is reunited with Dylan Browne McMonagle.

Paul O’Brien takes the ride and the conditions should suit. If reproducing last week’s improved performance, Yanka Blue could go close to securing her first career victory at an appealing price.
