Thanksgiving Night NFL - Baltimore Ravens v Cincinnati Bengals

Thanksgiving night delivers a fierce AFC North showdown as the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals take center stage in one of the marquee divisional battles of the season. Few rivalries play with as much edge, intensity, and emotional weight as this one, and the primetime holiday spotlight only amplifies the stakes. For Baltimore, Thanksgiving offers a national stage to reinforce their status as one of the AFC’s most complete and consistent teams, built on a foundation of physical defense and an offense that continues to evolve around its dynamic quarterback play.

The Bengals arrive with their own sense of urgency and ambition, knowing that divisional games often shape the AFC playoff picture more than any others. When Cincinnati’s offense is clicking — explosive downfield threats, sharp timing routes, and a balanced run game — they can challenge any defense in the league, including Baltimore’s. But beating the Ravens requires not only execution, but resilience; Baltimore’s ability to control tempo and generate pressure has historically stressed even the best offensive systems. Thanksgiving provides Cincinnati with the perfect opportunity to reassert its identity and reestablish itself as a feared contender in the conference.

This matchup thrives on contrasts: Baltimore’s punishing, methodical style versus Cincinnati’s precision and explosiveness. Both teams know each other intimately, and that familiarity breeds both tactical chess matches and emotional flashpoints. Add in the significance of a Thanksgiving national broadcast, and Ravens–Bengals has all the makings of a holiday classic—two rivals, two playoff-caliber squads, one massive opportunity to seize momentum as the season shifts into its decisive stretch.

Baltimore Ravens v Cincinnati Bengals- Insight and Analysis

Key Matchups

1. Ravens Pass Rush vs. Bengals Offensive Line
Few units are under more pressure than Cincinnati’s offensive front, which faces a Ravens defense known for complex blitz packages and relentless pressure. Baltimore thrives on forcing quarterbacks into hurried reads, and if the Bengals cannot protect consistently, their offense risks becoming one-dimensional. This is the matchup that will determine whether Cincinnati can get into rhythm or spends the night fighting uphill.

2. Bengals WRs vs. Ravens Secondary
Cincinnati’s receiving corps is one of the most explosive in the league, and their ability to create separation and win vertically will be central to the Bengals’ game plan. Baltimore’s secondary, physical and well-coordinated, will need to prevent big plays and force Cincinnati into long, sustained drives. If the Ravens can disrupt timing and limit yards after the catch, they can control the pace on their terms.

3. Lamar Jackson vs. Bengals Linebackers & Edge Contain
Slowing Lamar Jackson is never about one defender — it requires a collective effort. The Bengals must maintain disciplined contain, react quickly to misdirection, and rally to the ball with speed. If Cincinnati over-pursues or loses leverage, Jackson can punish them on the ground or through improvisation. How the Bengals defend Baltimore’s option looks and designed QB runs will shape the night.

Tactical Preview

Baltimore will look to impose its preferred game script early: long, methodical drives, diverse run concepts, and calculated deep shots off play-action. Expect the Ravens to use heavy motion to diagnose Cincinnati’s coverages and stress their linebackers laterally. Defensively, Baltimore will mix simulated pressures, late rotations, and inside stunts to disrupt the Bengals’ passing structure and force quick, contested throws.

Cincinnati’s tactical path centers on tempo, spacing, and maximizing matchups. Look for the Bengals to attack Baltimore’s secondary with layered route combinations, forcing the Ravens to pick their poison between doubling receivers or bracketing the middle of the field. A balanced run game will be essential — even modest success on the ground can slow down Baltimore’s blitz timing. Defensively, the Bengals must prioritize containing Lamar Jackson on early downs and forcing Baltimore into predictable third-and-longs, where they can unleash creative pressure looks of their own.

Thanksgiving night will likely come down to which team executes better in key areas: Baltimore’s ability to dictate physicality versus Cincinnati’s ability to manufacture explosive plays. The tactical chess match is as intriguing as the rivalry itself.

Players to Watch

Baltimore Ravens — Lamar Jackson, QB
The engine of Baltimore’s offense, Jackson’s dual-threat ability forces defenses into uncomfortable decisions. His efficiency and improvisation often determine the Ravens’ ceiling.

Baltimore Ravens — Roquan Smith, LB
Smith’s sideline-to-sideline speed and elite instincts make him vital against Cincinnati’s quick passing game and run concepts.

Baltimore Ravens — Top Edge Rusher
Baltimore’s ability to pressure the quarterback without over-blitzing hinges on edge disruption. A big night here could decide the game.

Cincinnati Bengals — Quarterback
His decision-making under pressure, accuracy on intermediate routes, and timing against Baltimore’s disguised coverages will be pivotal to the Bengals’ chances.

Cincinnati Bengals — WR1 & WR2
These receivers are the Bengals’ most dangerous weapons. Their ability to win deep, generate separation, and punish single coverage is Cincinnati’s best path to explosive plays.

Cincinnati Bengals — Defensive Edge Unit
Discipline and containment against Lamar Jackson are non-negotiable. A breakdown here can turn any play into a game-changing moment.

Why Each Leg Makes Sense

Baltimore Ravens Moneyline

The Ravens are on a roll and even with the return of Joe Burrow to the Bengals, they should still have enough firepower offensively to be able to overpower the Bengals D.

Derrick Henry Anytime Touchdown

Derrick Henry has found his form and with another touchdown for us last weekend, we back him to get another one here in and around the goal line against a Bengals defence which is notorious for struggling.

Jamar Chase  7+ Receptions

This is a selection based on what I call the Joe Burrow factor. Joe Burrow throwing to Jamar Chase is a combination unmatches in the NFL. Chase is one of the best receivers in the league and see’s a high volume of targets per game, particularly when Joe Burrow is playing. This is a large amount of receptions but for one of the best receivers in the league, it could be doable especially if they fall behind in score.

Noah Fant 10+ Receiving Yards

Probably a name unknown to a lot of people but feel like we have stumbled upon a price and selection here which doesnt make a great deal of sense. Fant is a Bengals TE and has only gone under 10 yards once this season, in their last game. He see’s around 3/4/5 targets and receptions a game. So the price here is too good to turn down.
