PSG v Real Madrid Match Info

Match: Paris Saint-Germain vs Real Madrid
Competition: FIFA Club World Cup Semi Final
Date: Wednesday 10 July 2025
Kick-off: 8PM BST
Venue: MetLife Stadium, New Jersey
Best Odds: 11/2 with Paddy Power & Betfair (Super Sub applies)

The second semi-final of the Club World Cup is a blockbuster. PSG and Real Madrid meet again in a high-stakes clash between two of Europe’s elite, with a place in the final and a huge prize pool on the line. PSG come into the match off a dominant 2-0 win over Bayern Munich, despite finishing with nine men. Real Madrid are unbeaten and full of threat, with Vinícius Jr, Bellingham and Gonzalo García all in form.

Here’s a sharp five-leg bet builder at 11/2 with Paddy Power and Betfair. The Hakimi leg is Super Sub eligible, meaning it stays live even if he comes off the bench.

Port Vale v Maldon & Tiptree
5/4

Port Vale vs Maldon - FA Cup

BTTS - Yes

Both Teams To Score
5/4

Reason for Tip

When you have the lowest team in the competition coming up against an established League side, you have to try and find some realistic edges. Maldon are currently 10/1 to win and while upsets are possible, we dont see it happening here.

Port Vale with a handicap, even then the odds really arent worth the bet.

A market that has sprung some interest for me is Both Teams to Score – YES. Here is my logic behind the selection.

I would expect Port Vale to rotate their team a little bit coming off the back of a tough stretch of games in League 1. They will still have enough quality on the pitch and therefor should score a few goals. However, rotation in team sometimes causes poorer performance and sometimes mistakes.

Maldon, despite their low ranked are backed by multi millionaires who took over the club in the summer and have revolutionised the environment and the team, spending well above their level to bring in established talent not just from non league, but also ex league pro’s. Maldon are likely to start with ex West Ham forward Freddie Sears, ex Colchester and Newport winger Courtney Senior, EFL legend Tom Eastman with over 400 EFL games and Dagenham and Redbridge legend Elliot Justham. The squad has a spine and talent that could be capable to spring a moment of magic and in our case, hopefully a goal.

It is one of the only selections which I believe has genuine value, rather than just betting on the cup upset in hope a 10/1 lands.

Man City vs Bournemouth - Premier League

BTTS - Yes

Both Teams To Score
18/25

Reason for Tip

Man City can score goals for fun on any given day but have shown signs of defensive frailty this season. Bournemouth, while having lots of attacking intent and prowess, struggle at the Etihad so could see themselves conceding a goal, but taking advantage of City down the other end.

Over 8.5 Corners
11/20

Reason for Tip

Our go to market this year, with corners increasing across the board and an emphasis on set pieces from all sides this year. The increase in long throws is also contributing to an increase in corners also. Over 8.5 is a large quantity but one that tends to land this season.

Reason for Tip

Goals and attacking action expected in this game and as such, a goal in both halves is not out the realm of possibility.

Antoine Semenyo 1+ Shots on Target

Reason for Tip

The main man at Bournemouth this season and if they are expected to do anything at the Etihad, we can expect to see this man well involved and potentially having some output on target.

Chelmsford City v Braintree Town
7/1

Chelmsford Win

Match Result
7/1

Reason for Tip

I was shocked when I looked at the odds that you are getting close to 7/1 on a Chelmsford City win. For those that dont know, Chelmsford have recently transitioned into a full time professional team, have invested lots of money and bought players well above the ranks they currently are including Lyle Taylor, Jack Barham, Joe Grimwood and many others. While they find themselves 15th in the National League South, this is only natural in my opinion with a new manager, completely new side, staff and setup. Things take time to mould, but the foundations are there to be successful.

On the other hand, we look at Braintree Town. Braintree have been in the National league for a few seasons now and it was now Chelmsford manager Angelo Harrop who got them there with a spirited campaign. The tall and short of it is that Braintree are happy to survive at that level, with limited money and resources to push on further. The operate on a small squad, loans and local lads to keep them moving forward. Ex football league powerhouse John Akinde leads the line with an ex Colchester United contingent behind them in Chay Cooper, Marley Marshall Miranda and on loan CB/LB Frankie Terry, Nephew of Chelsea legend John Terry.

This is a local derby and out of the last 5 games, Chelmsford have won 3 of them, 1 draw and a Braintree win. In the 11 total games, Chelmsford have won 7, with 4 draws and just the 1 Braintree win.

So based on historical stats, data and information on the narrative of both sides, we are taking the Chelmsford City win and the upset here at close to 7/1.

Bet Builder Breakdown

PSG to Qualify
PSG are slight favourites to progress and looked composed in their quarter-final win over Bayern. They’ve kept four clean sheets in five tournament games and top the competition for possession at nearly 67 percent. With their defensive shape, technical midfield and fast wide players, they look well set to edge this.

Both Teams to Score
Real Madrid have scored in all five Club World Cup games so far and pose a constant threat through Vinícius Jr and Bellingham. PSG have enough firepower to respond and are unlikely to sit back. This has the makings of an open, attacking semi-final and both teams should get on the scoresheet.

Achraf Hakimi 1+ Shot on Target
Hakimi is consistently involved down the right and regularly gets into shooting positions. He had efforts on target in both previous rounds and is always a threat when PSG dominate possession. With Super Sub in play, this leg remains valid even if he comes on late.

Over 2.5 Goals
There’s too much attacking quality on the pitch for this not to open up. Recent clashes between these sides have regularly seen three or more goals, and with both teams built to attack rather than sit on leads, three or more is a realistic outcome.

Over 2.5 Match Cards
This is a huge occasion — a semi-final between two world-class sides with serious money, silverware and bragging rights on the line. There’s no room for passengers and no time for passengers. Expect tactical fouls, frustration, and high intensity challenges, especially if it gets cagey in the second half. Even without a strong card trend in earlier rounds, this sort of knockout tie usually sees the bookings pile up.
