Manchester United return to Premier League action on Monday night and they come into this game looking far more like a team heading in the right direction. Ruben Amorim’s side are unbeaten in five league matches and have won four straight at Old Trafford, scoring eleven goals in the process.

Everton arrive under David Moyes and history has not been kind to them at Old Trafford. The Toffees have won just one of their last thirty two visits and they have taken only four points from five away matches this season. Their only away win came at Wolves.

This fixture closes out the round of Premier League matches and there is a lot on the line for both clubs. United are pushing for a European place and Everton are trying to find consistency, but their lack of goals away from home has been a major issue.

Manchester United vs Everton Match Preview

Manchester United might finally be turning a corner. They entered the international break on a five game unbeaten run and looked much more dynamic in attack, helped by the influence of summer signings including Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha.
Their win at Liverpool before the break was fortunate but showed their resilience. Their recent home wins have been more convincing and Old Trafford is slowly becoming a difficult place to visit again.

Everton are improving under David Moyes but they continue to lack cutting edge in attack, especially away from home. Their forwards have not scored enough goals and they have struggled to sustain pressure in big stadiums.
Moyes has only four wins in twenty five matches against United as Everton manager and although his team work hard, they rarely create enough high quality chances in fixtures like this.

Manchester United vs Everton Bet Builder Breakdown

Manchester United to Win

United are in their best spell of form under Amorim, especially at Old Trafford where they have won their last four league matches. They have beaten Burnley, Chelsea, Sunderland and Brighton at home and could easily have taken points from Arsenal earlier in the season.
Everton have won only one of their last thirty two visits to Old Trafford and they have lost four of their six away games in all competitions this season. United control territory, possession and shot volume in these home fixtures and they should be too strong again.

Under 3.5 Goals

Everton away matches rarely escalate into high scoring games. Only one of their games in all competitions this season has gone above three point five goals.
United have improved in attack but their matches still tend to land between one and three goals. Even when they dominate, they do not often blow teams away.
The tactical matchup points to a controlled game with United having most of the ball and Everton protecting space, keeping the scoreline within a manageable range.

Over 7.5 Corners

United consistently generate corners at Old Trafford. Their wide play, overlapping fullbacks and shot volume naturally push corner counts up.
Everton concede corners away from home because they defend deep and absorb pressure.
United’s last few home games have all comfortably cleared this line and the most recent head to heads between these sides have also produced eight or more corners.

Over 2.5 Cards

This fixture regularly produces physical, competitive football. Both teams have midfielders and defenders who pick up regular cautions and Everton often rely on tactical fouls to break up transitions.
United’s matches this season have featured steady card numbers and the pace of both attacks means this should follow the same pattern. Three cards is a very realistic outcome.

Bryan Mbeumo 1+ Shot on Target

Mbeumo has been a major positive for United this season. His direct running, ability to shoot on both feet and his habit of drifting into central shooting positions make him a consistent threat.
He has been starting every match and has registered shots on target regularly in league play. With United expected to dominate possession and create chances, Mbeumo should force at least one save.

Luke Shaw 1+ Foul

Shaw commits fouls frequently because he is involved in one on one duels down the left side. Everton usually attack wide when they counter and that forces Shaw into recovery tackles and challenges where a foul is common.
His recent matches support this line and the style of this fixture only strengthens it.

Everton Goalkeeper 3+ Saves

Jordan Pickford regularly posts high save numbers in difficult away fixtures.
United attempt plenty of shots at Old Trafford, even in cagey games, and Pickford often ends up making four or more saves when Everton sit deep.
With United expected to dominate the final third, three saves is a sensible and well supported selection.
