Reason for Tip

In no sort of form for previous yard and form read 6P90. However looked a different proposition after returning from a few months off when making stable debut for the Tizzard’s lto at Exeter. Second of eleven that day and likely to be even fitter and sharper today. This race doesn’t look overly tough and Reel Orange looks capable of winning this handily in conditions that are ideally suited. Was lots of money for this mare lto when going down a beaten favourite but i don’t think lightening strikes twice today in that respect. Looks a major player for a shrewd yard with a good track record. Brendan Powell aboard again and that’s no negative, might not be in fantastic form currently but knows how to win at this course. Big chance for Reel Orange today on second start for Joe Tizzard.

Reel Orange showed very little for her previous yard, but looked like a completely different horse when making her stable debut for Joe Tizzard last time out at Exeter, finishing second of eleven after a few months off the track. She is likely to come on plenty for that run and should be fitter and sharper today.

This race doesn’t look overly strong and the conditions look ideal once again. There was strong market support for her last time when going down as a beaten favourite, but this looks like a great opportunity to go one better. Brendan Powell keeps the ride and Reel Orange looks the one to beat today.

Reason for Tip

Eight year old Rob Roy Macgregor has found some form this year and has strung together three really respectable runs. Form of 242 and looks to be on a mark where a win really isn’t out of the question. Returns to Hexham today for the first time since June last year and is likely to appreciate the conditions here today. This race looks perhaps a little more open than the race lto and I would be surprised if this boy wasn’t involved come the end as he will stay the trip and is largely sound over the obstacles. Represents a small yard who are going very well and that’s a big positive, stable have a 33% strikerate in the last couple of weeks and show no signs of letting up currently. Patrick Wadge aboard as usual and he himself has ridden a chunk of winners recently too. Decent chance for this 8 year old today and at a nice price.

Rob Roy Macgregor has found some solid form recently with form figures of 242 and looks to be on a very workable mark. He returns to Hexham for the first time since last summer and the conditions today should suit him well.

This looks like a slightly more open race than last time and he should be involved towards the finish. The yard is in excellent form with a 33% strike rate over the last couple of weeks and Patrick Wadge retains the ride. At around 9/1, he looks like a solid each-way angle and could easily outrun his odds.

Ten year old Global Warning has not won in quite a while but has put in two good efforts over C&D the last two runs. Narrowly denied last time out here when finishing well and whilst he has gone up 2lb for that narrow defeat, remains very well treated and a win looks imminent. This race is no done thing and Global Warning is likely to be heavily involved again. Big positive for this horse today is the jockey change to Rossa Ryan, Rossa has an exceptional record at this course and is also a man in form at the moment. Rossa has a very good record for this stable and Global Warning looks to be in great hands today.

Low mileage five year old who has been nothing short of consistent recently with form of 3231 all at Wolverhampton. Returns to the polytrack surface of Lingfield today which is no negative and looks set for a big run. Was clear of all but second lto and could well kick on for getting that win. Has a good draw, seemed to relish the 1m4f trip last time and gets that again here. Yard going nicely and jockey even more so, Taylor Fisher has a monthly strikerate of 44% with 4 wins from 9 rides and that’s a big positive for Belle Of Kt here. Race looks wide open and ripe for the taking and this five year old has shown no reason why another big run wouldn’t be on the cards today.

Small field chase here in the 4.41 and one who’s been progressive in this discipline is eight year old Big John Wayne. Form of 52 since going over fences and likely to continue that improvement here today. Seemed to relish the trip last time and gets the same here today. Forecasted ground of good to soft looks favourable and whilst is top weight, he could well take a liking to Hexham on course debut here and it’s a course the yard have a good record at. Hexham can be a tricky track and some horses just don’t take to it but from what we’ve seen so far, this eight year old might do well here. Derek Fox aboard for the ride. Good chance.

Pretty open looking race here full of young and unexposed three year olds and one who has shown progression on each start is Blues and Royals from the Bell stable. 8th on debut at Newbury then 7th in a warm class 2 maiden before finishing 3rd of nine lto at this track. Very few horses, and none at the head of the market have course experience and that will stand Blues and Royals in good stead. Ran well here and no reason he won’t again. This is perhaps a slightly warmer race today with a couple of potential nice horses out of the Boughey and Palmer yards but Blues and Royals is taken to get the job done on handicap debut. Looks a lenient opening mark and should be capable of making a winning start to handicaps. Yard have only run three horses in the last two weeks and two of them won so very much firing and Hector Crouch gets the ride and when yard and jockey have combined at this course in the last two years, have won 33% of the time. Good chance at a nice price.
