Seven year old Tzarmix has started this season with a bang when winning after 6 months off at Ludlow lto by over 7 lengths. Runs over the same 3 mile trip here today at Hereford on ideal ground and looks a big danger again here. Can be inconsistent at times, but he blew the cobwebs off in very fine style lto and looks to have another solid chance in this. Field is opposable and for a small yard, the Ralph’s are in fine form. Backers were rewarded lto and it’s looking likely they will be again today. Looks the winner.

Seven-year-old Tzarmix returned this season in some style, bolting up at Ludlow after a six-month break by over 7 lengths. Back over the same 3m trip, on the same preferred ground conditions, and against another very beatable field, he looks primed to follow up.

Yes, he can be inconsistent — but all signs suggest he has come back a better horse this campaign. The Ralph yard is firing nicely, and Burke retains the ride after getting a great tune out of him last time.

Everything points towards another big performance. This is the bet of the day.

At a double-figure price, Jokers N Clowns looks a cracking outsider in a race lacking depth. Pulled up on seasonal debut over an overly demanding 2m6f, the shorter trip today looks much more suitable. He should strip fitter, the yard are in excellent form for a small stable, and Lorcan Williams is riding very confidently right now.

If this lad returns to anywhere near his best, he outruns the odds. A proper Dark Horse selection.

Aggagio has failed to find much form recently and form reads 53448 since August this year. Should appreciate the slightly shorter trip today and has ran well at this track in the past so the return here is likely favourable. Noticeable drop back in class today into Class 5 company and that looks the biggest positive frankly. Has contested much stronger races than this and is likely to put in a big run now. Yard are going very well at the moment and Ben Pollard aboard takes off a chunky apprentice allowance. Lots to like about Aggagio’s chances.

Nine year old Jet Plane has won seven times in his career and this race looks like a very good chance at making that number eight. Returned after short break to contest the Grand Sefton at Aintree lto and finished 7th of 17 in that. Should strip fitter today and on ground that should suit. This is a weaker race and Jet Plane still has plenty of ability to capitalise on a small field Class 3 today. Skeltons have solid form currently and at the course and this boy is a major player here.

Six year old Wee Alki has been progressive so far this year since return in October, was fourth on that seasonal debut and then went on to score lto here at Hexham over the same trip. Likely we haven’t seen the best of Wee Alki yet and there seems to be more to come, mark likely still workable and he’s taken to make it a quickfire Hexham double. Conor Rabbitt and his apprentice allowance retain the ride and should be heavily involved once again.

Four year old Southbank from the Gordon stable is a proven winner, including over C&D here at Kempton two starts ago. Generally performs well at this track and after the fourth lto has been dropped back to a mark of 57 which puts this boy on a very tempting mark. There isn’t a great deal of substance in this field and Southbank should be bang there again today. Will probably be sat at the rear as normal and then sweep over the top in the final furlong and that’s exactly what Charles Bishop did two starts ago when winning on Southbank. Looks a likely winner.

A noticeable drop into Class 5 company makes this much more manageable. Proven at the track, yard flying, and Pollard’s claim is valuable. Should take a step forward today.

Progressive type who won here last time over the same trip. Mark still looks workable and another big run looks likely with Conor Rabbitt on board again.

Jet Plane – 2.45 Leicester – 5/2

Ran a solid race in the Grand Sefton and should be sharper today. Weaker field, ground in favour, and the Skeltons are in strong form. Very strong chance.

Southbank – 8.30 Kempton – 11/2

A course-and-distance winner now back down to a tempting mark of 57. Track form is a huge plus and the race lacks depth. Expect the usual late sweep from the rear.
