Reason for Tip

Two third placed finishes in first two starts before coming good on third start lto when winning nicely at Windsor lto. That was a hotly contested race and the form is strong. Slight risk with this being polytrack debut but nothing suggests it will be a negative and on breeding this slight increase in trip looks favourable. Only three runners in this race and Explosion is far and away the most unexposed in the field and is open to much improvement and progression here on nursery debut. Represents a strong yard and has a good jockey aboard in De Sousa who has a good AW record and the Johnston yard have a credible 20% strikerate here at Chelmsford. Looks the winner and should win.

Explosion makes his polytrack debut here, but there’s nothing in the pedigree or preparation to suggest that will be a negative. With just three runners in the race, he looks by far the most unexposed, open to stacks of improvement now switched to nursery company.

Three year old who started her career in fine style when winning a Class 4 maiden at Goodwood in May. Ran on another two occasions for the Haggas yard and finished 2nd and 4th respectively. Has since switched yard and is now trained by the Goldie’s and makes first run for new trainer here today. Clearly talented with plenty of ability and the Goldie’s are no stranger to success at Ayr. First handicap for Tsuki here today and there was money that came for her lto when going down a beaten favourite. Has a break to contend with but has posted some good numbers previously and if going well fresh has a very good chance to contest. Paul Mulrennan aboard for the steering and he wins around 20% of all rides for Jim Goldie. Outside chance.

Our Dark Horse selection runs in the 3.15 at Ayr with Tsuki.

This filly began her career with William Haggas, winning a Class 4 maiden at Goodwood before running respectably in two more races. Since then she has switched to the Jim Goldie yard, and this is her first run for her new trainer.

She makes her handicap debut here, and while there is a break to overcome, her past performances suggest she has more to give. The Goldie/Mulrennan partnership has an excellent strike rate at Ayr, and if Tsuki is fit and ready to go, she could surprise at a nice price.

Has been a consistent youngster so far with form of 332 including two hotly contested races at Newmarket and Newbury. Went down a close second lto at Ffos Las and has shown he is progressive and improving. Now moves into nurseries and looks very well treated today in this company. Represents a powerful and shrewd stable and has a top jockey aboard in Kieren Shoemark. Elara May is a threat but after completing the hattrick is up effectively 7lb here and so I don’t think we will see her winning today. The rest are not much to shout about and this looks ripe for the picking for Gouken. Major player.

Was green on debut when finishing 8th at Newbury. Came on very smartly when coming third here at Kempton lto earlier this month and further progression looks almost a given. Very nicely bred two year old who out of the Hughes yard and looks a big threat here. Isn’t currently favourite in the market but we may see movement on Wedonttelllies tomorrow as the form is strong, has a strong booking in Finlay Marsh and has proven ability and course form. Good chance.

Three year old who is carrying a penalty for multiple wins in last three starts all here at Yarmouth. Goes over the mile here today but has contested that trip previously and isn’t a negative. Noble Guest clearly loves this course and has been highly impressive in recent runs which leads me to believe the penalty is not enough to stop this three year old contesting again off top weight. Has leading form claims and course form and should be involved again at a nice price.

Experienced for a four year old with 21 runs under his belt and after his mark dropped a bit earlier in the year has been knocking on the door the last twice with two second place finishes. Drops back a furlong to 6f here and Invincible Navy seems to like the shorter quick with a quicker gallop and he should get speed here with this line up. On a dangerous mark and Mason Paetel takes off 5lb with his apprentice allowance also. Well drawn to get out quickly and more than capable of making all. Big player.
