Reason for Tip

Krissy has been a horse in great form this season on the all weather with two wins and two seconds in last four starts. Went close lto at Southwell and looks to to still be ahead of the handicapper and capable of winning. Gets her normal trip again today at a course that she tends to enjoy. Is absolutely the form pick of the race and has a plum draw from stall 2 to get the early position she often takes. Cam Hardie aboard and he is no stranger to Lingfield success and generally has a very good strikerate for the Goldie yard here. Plenty of question marks over most of this field and Krissy has shown ability and consistency of late and looks set for another win today. Should win.

⭐ NAP of the Day

Lazare De Star – 12.10 Leopardstown (6/5)

This looks a fascinating contest featuring several unexposed types, but Lazare De Star was the one who really caught the eye last time out. Second in a point-to-point before being snapped up for just under €200,000, he made his rules debut earlier this month when finishing second to the talented Saint Baco.

Both horses pulled well clear of the remainder, and Lazare De Star shaped with plenty of promise throughout. That run suggests significant improvement is still to come, and with normal progression he sets a strong standard here.

He represents a powerful Gordon Elliott yard with an excellent record at Leopardstown, and stable jockey Jack Kennedy takes the ride. With conditions to suit and further progress expected, Lazare De Star looks a very strong NAP and a likely winner.

Reason for Tip

This race looks pretty open and ripe for the picking and one who looks a little bit of a dark horse is five year old Grand Citadel. Pretty low mileage and proved ability when landing 7f success at Leicester back in May. Hasn’t been since September so does have a break to contend with and whilst there is question marks over affinity for the straight mile trip, has ran this distance before and was a creditable performance. Remains open to improvement, capable of bouncing back after a poor couple of runs when last seen. Looks quite a weak affair this and Grand Citadel has a great jockey booking in George Wood who is no stranger to success at this track. Will need to be on song after the break to get the job done, but isn’t without chance.

Top Of Pleinmont is a three-year-old who showed his ability when getting off the mark at Wolverhampton two starts ago after a series of near misses. His latest run at Southwell was disappointing, but that came over a longer trip than ideal, which clearly didn’t suit.

He drops back to his preferred 1m4f today — the same distance as his Wolverhampton win — which looks a major positive. He has a good draw, Pat Cosgrave is booked, and the yard continues to tick along nicely.

While he does have something to prove against a few rivals, his price reflects that. If reproducing his Wolverhampton form, Top Of Pleinmont could easily outrun his odds and looks a solid each-way Dark Horse.

In form six year old Colors Of Freedom looks set to take this in what is a very weak race. Form of 34422 since October and wasn’t far away the last twice at Wolverhampton and has a very good draw in stall 3 today. Has good form at this course and has amassed numerous AW wins in career so far. Remains well treated and a decent jockey aboard in K T O Neill. Really isn’t much to write home about for the other contenders and so Colors of Freedom is taken to get the job done today after knocking on the door recently.

Pretty open race here in the 2.05 and it looks to be a good looking race for eight year Muskoka from the Lavelle’s. Pretty straightforward horse who nearly always puts in a strong performance and form recently has been strong including a second at Wincanton lto in a Class 3. Drops back to Class 4 company today and we know he will stay the trip and be fine on the forecast good ground. Principal at the head of the market is a hattrick seeker and not sure will cope with the latest rise of 7lb. From the rest Muskoka looks to have a fantastic chance in this and has a world class jockey in Harry Cobden. Nice odds at 13/2 and is capable of winning this.

Five year old Homme De Fer has been running very well recently with form of 23141 since October. Remains very unexposed on this surface with only two AW starts under his belt including a fourth here at Kempton two starts ago and a win lto at Lingfield. Open to further AW progress today in this Class 6 and whilst does go up in trip slightly, he has form over the straight mile and looks in red hot form. Only raised 3lb from the win lto and that is potentially not enough to curtail another win today. Solid booking in William Carson and looks a likely winner.

Reason for Tip

Has shown a little inconsistency at times but looked much sharper lto at Aintree when winning a novice on first time sent over a longer trip. Seemed to suit and so yard have opted for more of the same and this six year remains unexposed at these 3mile+ distances and so capable of continuing progress. Yard have a fantastic record here and stable jockey Harry Skelton is always a positive booking. Jumped very well last time and if there is more of the same today, Top Guy could take some stopping. Currently one ahead of him in the market who is chasing a four timer but Top Guy looks to be on a much more workable mark and a little more unexposed at this trip. Good chance in this.

A very consistent eight-year-old with form figures of 11232, Couldbeaweapon rarely runs a bad race and always gives his running. His second at Sedgefield last time was a solid effort and he drops back in class here, which looks significant.

He remains on a workable mark in this Class 5, the yard are in good form, and Tom Midgley’s 3lb claim is another positive. Proven over the trip and with ground conditions to suit, he looks a major player.

Koktail Divin – 1.20 Leopardstown (11/4)

Jockey: Darragh O’Keeffe

Koktail Divin has taken well to fences this season, finishing second on both chasing starts so far at Down Royal and Punchestown. He remains very unexposed in this discipline and looks open to plenty more improvement.

The slight drop back to 2m5f should suit, and he represents a stable with a strong record at Leopardstown. While a Mullins runner heads the market, Koktail Divin looks the more reliable option based on what we’ve seen this season and rates a strong contender.

Dinofromberlais – 2.22 Leicester (9/2)

Jockey: Sean Bowen

Dinofromberlais won a maiden at Fakenham earlier in the year and has shown steady improvement since returning this term. He ran well when second in a Class 4 last time out and now drops back in grade, which looks ideal.

He remains on a tempting mark, has good form at Leicester, and conditions should suit with some cut in the ground. The Murphy–Bowen combination does very well here, and another bold run is expected.

True Promise – 3.20 Southwell (11/4)

Jockey: Oisin McSweeney

True Promise has been knocking firmly on the door this season, with form figures of 2223 since September. He remains well treated and the return to Southwell is a plus, having run well here previously.

Back over 6f, which looks his ideal trip, he also has a good draw and Oisin McSweeney back in the saddle. In what appears a fairly weak race, this looks a great opportunity for True Promise to finally get his head in front.
