This impeccably bred colt, by champion sire Frankel out of a Bated Breath mare, makes a highly anticipated return tomorrow in the Ronald Fletcher Baker Novice Stakes. He showed immense promise on his second start in November, bolting up to win a Newcastle maiden by an impressive seven lengths. Although he returns from a 221 day absence tomorrow, he represents the elite yard of William Haggas, which is currently operating at a stellar 21% strike rate. With world class jockey Tom Marquand booked to ride, connections clearly expect a bold showing. He has to carry a penalty for his previous victory, but he possesses clear star quality and remains the standout class horse in this nine runner Class 3 field. Sharp Move is a very exciting prospect who looks poised to resume his progress with a dominant performance over this trip.

⭐ NAP of the Day

Mountain Molly makes her chasing debut here and looks very well treated for this first start over fences. The six-year-old won her first point-to-point and has continued to progress nicely under Rules, showing further improvement this season with a win and a second on her two runs back.

This looks a sensible entry point into chasing and the yard appear keen to get her going in this discipline, which is always a positive sign. Trip and ground are ideal and she’s the only runner in the field without prior chasing experience, suggesting there could be plenty more to come. If taking to fences as expected, she should prove very hard to beat.

This unexposed 3yo gelding, by Showcasing, is a fascinating contender as he makes his handicap debut in the Class 4 Try Unibet’s New Smartview Racecards Handicap. He put together a highly consistent sequence in the spring, finishing a close second on all three of his All-Weather starts at Newcastle and Wolverhampton. You can safely draw a line through his latest run on soft turf at Chester, as the testing ground was clearly against him. Reverting to his preferred All-Weather surface tomorrow, he should find conditions much more to his liking. Running off an opening mark of 77, he remains completely unexposed on polytrack and represents the powerhouse stable of Charlie Johnston. With veteran jockey Pat Cosgrave in the saddle, Showcasing Star has excellent prospects of bouncing back to form and looks ready to make a major impact on his handicap debut at a big price too.

Love Your Work is a seasoned nine-year-old with 14 career wins to his name and remains capable at this level. His form prior to last time out read an impressive 1-4-2-1, and the seventh-place finish last time can be forgiven after the experiment with new headgear, which is now removed.

He remains on a workable mark, has a favourable draw in what looks a wide-open contest, and K T O’Neill takes the ride. As top weight, he’s clearly respected by the handicapper and 12/1 looks generous based on previous form. A bounce-back performance would be no surprise.

Why he’s the Dark Horse:
Well treated, headgear removed, strong historical form, and overpriced in an open race.

This experienced 6yo gelding, a son of Le Havre, looks to bounce back in the Class 5 Preventapest Handicap over a mile. While he has struggled to find his best form in his two starts this season at Goodwood and Nottingham, he was a highly prolific performer last year, racking up three victories over this distance at Sandown, Haydock, and Kempton. Port Erin is a previous winner at Ffos Las and is now dropped back down to a very attractive mark. A key positive for his prospects tomorrow is the eye-catching booking of the exceptionally talented jockey Billy Loughnane by trainer Tony Carroll. She has enjoyed a highly productive 2026 campaign, securing three wins on the All-Weather, including two over a mile at Southwell. She proved her versatility last time out on June 4 by running a superb second of ten over seven furlongs on Good to Firm turf at Wetherby, only beaten by a neck. Although she faces a challenging widest draw in stall 14 on her Polytrack debut tomorrow, her current sharp form and proven ability at this level make her a serious threat. Back on an artificial surface under jockey Dylan Hogan, who knows her well, Michael Herrington’s filly has all the right credentials to overcome the draw and deliver a highly competitive and positive performance in this contest.

A Kingman foal from the Beckett yard who made a very promising debut last month at Southwell, finishing second after staying on well. That was a highly credible first run and significant improvement is expected on his second career start.

He does have a wider draw to overcome, but over the mile there should be enough time to secure a good position. He represents a top yard, boasts some of the strongest form in the race, and has an excellent jockey booked. In a fairly open contest, The Stone Power looks a major player with progress likely.

National Question has looked better than ever this season, winning on seasonal debut at Newcastle before finishing a close second last time out at Sedgefield. That latest run came on softer ground than ideal, making the performance even more encouraging.

Conditions look much more suitable today with slightly firmer ground, and any further drying would be a big positive as all three of his career wins have come on good going. The 5lb apprentice allowance only strengthens his claims and this looks a well-spotted opportunity in an open Class 5.

My Boy Harry – 2.00 Lingfield (9/2)

My Boy Harry boasts solid course form, having won here back in October, and arrives in good heart. He was only narrowly beaten last time out over this track and trip and runs off the same mark today, which is encouraging.

Drawn in stall 5, he should get a good position and this looks a slightly weaker race than the one he was beaten in last time. With Pat Cosgrave booked, he looks a serious contender once again.

Lady Of Arabia – 6.30 Wolverhampton (9/2)

Lady Of Arabia had been knocking firmly on the door over a straight mile, finishing third on four consecutive starts. A slight step up in trip combined with a change of headgear brought immediate improvement last time out, resulting in a well-earned win.

She’s gone up 4lb for that success but still looks well treated over this distance, particularly with the headgear retained. The yard are in decent form and Billy Loughnane keeps the ride. There could be more to come at this trip.
