Reason for Tip

Ex-French flat four year old who made hurdling debut for the O’Sullivan’s at Gowran Park back in October and won that handily. Ran a cracker lto at Aintree in a Listed Juvenile race when 5 lengths behind a smart prospect and that form is strong and valuable. Remains open to plenty of progress in this sphere and whilst this is a debut at Punchestown, has a very talented and experience jockey aboard who has a great record here in J J Slevin. Should act on the heavy ground and will stay the trip. A lot of this field are opposable and this race looks a natural step forward for Bibe Mus who’s shown plenty of ability. Looks a likely winner on handicap debut today.

Bibe Mus looks a very solid NAP here on handicap debut. The ex-French flat performer made an immediate impact over hurdles when winning on debut at Gowran Park back in October, showing a strong attitude and plenty of ability.

He backed that up with an excellent effort at Aintree last time, finishing just five lengths behind a smart rival in a Listed Juvenile contest — form which reads very well in the context of today’s race. This looks a natural next step rather than a big jump in class.

Conditions should hold no fears, as he’s expected to act well on heavy ground, and the booking of J J Slevin, who has a strong record at Punchestown, is another big positive. With plenty of rivals looking opposable, Bibe Mus sets the standard and looks the one to beat.

Reason for Tip

Four year old Dancing Bay is a thirteen race maiden but despite that things seemed to click here over C&D last time out when returning from a little time off and the drop in trip looked to have been a big positive. Was second that day behind a smart rival and looks set to progress from that result and should be fully fit for this race today. This is a decent size field and the race looks ripe for the taking and Dancing Bay looks ready to grab a win in a race like this. Does need to take a step forward to get the job done today but the run last time was a big positive in a rather ordinary campaign prior and so he’s no forlorn hope. Has a good jockey aboard with a strong record here in George Wood and would be no surprise to see this four year old place at a nice price today and with a bit of luck in running capable of snagging first win.

Dancing Bay may still be a maiden, but there were clear signs of life last time out when finishing second over C&D after a short break. The drop in trip looked to work the oracle, and he shaped as though more improvement is still to come.

This race looks more open than the market suggests, and if building on that latest effort, Dancing Bay is well capable of outrunning double-figure odds. He has a solid jockey booking in George Wood, who knows Wolverhampton well, and a strong pace could play right into his hands.

At the prices, he makes plenty of appeal for each-way players and wouldn’t shock if finally getting his head in front.

Reason for Tip

Thrice raced under rules and form reads 344. Left a little to be desired on handicap debut at Lingfield lto when fourth of 6 but that trip was arguably a little long. Bred for a little shorter and so the drop back to 2m4f looks a positive. Has shown ability in previous runs and remains very unexposed and open to plenty of progress. Soft ground should suit and the stable have opted for cheekpieces today which should help him settle. Yard have an ok record at this course and whilst this race is headed by a short priced Henderson horse, Alan Bresil should be challenging this at a nice price. Harry Reed gets the ride and there is plenty to like about the chances of this six year old today.

Made a strong start to career when winning a maiden for Gordon Elliot over in Ireland and since switched to the Olly Murphy prior to this season. Form since returning to action for new stable reads 22 and looks to be on a very workable mark. Should be fully tuned up now after 2 runs and looks the pick of the field. Trip is ideal, acts on softer ground and even heavy so conditions underfoot will be a positive most likely. Murphy yard enjoying a good year and Good To Be Alive has the services of one of the best riding at the moment in Sean Bowen. Needs to transfer the close calls into a win, but this looks the race for that. Major player.

Reason for Tip

Mon Champion has plenty of ability but is a little inconsistent at times. Won in France in 2024 and now resides with the powerful Nicholls yard for whom he’s had a few runs for now. Returned to chasing two starts ago at Sandown in December and ran a cracker, nearly won that day and finished a close second. Took a backwards step lto at Newbury but can be forgiven as the ground wasn’t overly in his favour (good) and the forecasted conditions today are soft which is most certainly a positive. Best runs have been on soft or heavy and so is taken to return to form today. It’s a winnable race and he represents a top yard with a fantastic jockey aboard in Freddie Gingell. Should be heavily involved and looks a winner in waiting on this ground.

Pretty open race here in the second on the card at Wolverhampton and one who’s been knocking on the door recently is seven year old Nordic Glory from the Attwater stable. Form of 3932 since December and has been looking better each run recently culminating in a close second over C&D. Remains on a very decent mark only 2lb higher than last winning mark and has a good draw out of stall 4 today at a course he seems to relish. Ryan Kavanagh back aboard with his 5lb apprentice allowance makes this boy even more nicely treated at the weights. Best performances have been at this track when allowed to get out and run prominently, very capable of achieving that from a low draw today and if he is given it too easy at the front, may take some catching. Big chance.
