It’s very much advantage Utrecht heading into this 2nd leg of their Europa League encounter with Swiss side Servette as the Dutch hosts registered what could prove to be a tie-winning 3-1 victory at the Stade de Geneve in last week’s 1st leg.

Utrecht had previously accounted for Moldovan club Sheriff Tiraspol in the 2nd qualifying round of this competition with a 7-2 win on aggregate, while on the domestic front, Ron Jans’ side produced a winning start to the new Eredivisie campaign with a comprehensive 4-0 rout at home over Heracles.

Swiss visitors Servette have it all to do when they make their way to the Stadion Galgenwaard as they not only hit the road but they find themselves two goals adrift of their Dutch opponents.

This doesn’t bode well for Bojan Dimic’s side as Servette head into this 2nd leg encounter on the back of five games without a win in all competitions; despite beating Viktoria Plzen in the 1st leg of the Champions League qualifiers, the Swiss visitors slumped to four defeats on the trot, conceding 13 goals in the process!

Team News: Utrecht manager Ron Jans has no injury concerns and is expected to name an unchanged line-up for the third consecutive match. Servette meanwhile will be without the services of forward Samuel Mraz, attacking midfielder Alexis Antunes and defensive midfielder David Douline.

Legia Warsaw will be hoping they can make the most of home advantage for this 2nd leg clash with Cypriot club AEK Larnaca as the Polish hosts find themselves chasing a 4-1 deficit in this return leg on Thursday night.

Prior to last week’s heavy defeat at the AEK Arena, Legia Warsaw had put together some impressive results as Edward Iordanescu’s side had collected wins against Kazakhstan side Aktobe 2-0 on aggregate and Czechia outfit Banik Ostrava 4-3 on aggregate in the previous two qualifying rounds of the Europa League.

AEK Larnaca seemingly already have one foot in the Europa League play-off round but the Cypriot visitors will be taking nothing for granted as they look to close out this 2nd leg tie.

AEK had previously swept aside Serbian outfit Partizan Belgrade on penalties and then Slovenian club Celje 3-2 on aggregate in the 1st and 2nd qualifying rounds of this competition respectively.

Team News: Legia Warsaw captain Bartosz Kapustka will sit out following last week’s red card while defensive midfielder Juergen Elitim is sidelined with injury. AEK Larnaca are likely to be without Swedish midfielder Marcus Rohden who is a major doubt.

Austria Vienna will be desperate to avoid a third consecutive defeat in all competitions when they return to the Franz Horr Stadium for this 2nd leg tie against Czech Republic side Banik Ostrava following last week’s 4-3 loss.

To make matters worse, Austria Vienna then slumped to a 2-0 loss at home to Wolfsberger in the Austrian Bundesliga over the weekend but having dispatched Georgian outfit FC Spaeri 7-0 in the previous qualifying round of this competition, Stephan Helm’s side will be backing themselves on home soil.

Banik Ostrava’s inconsistent streak once again reared its ugly head on the weekend as the Czech side were dealt a disappointing 2-1 loss at home to Karvina in the Czech First League which now makes it just one win from their last seven games overall.

That win came in the form of last week’s 1st leg 4-3 win against Austria Vienna but having also slipped to four defeats within this seven-game period as well, Pavel Hapal’s side look to have their work cut out in order to preserve their one-goal advantage on Thursday night.

Team News: Austria Vienna coach Stephan Helm will be without attacking trio Kelvin Boateng, Romeo Vucic and Abdoulaye Kante who are all sidelined with injuries. Defenders Aleksandar Dragovic and Ziad El Sheiwi are also likely to miss out. Banik Ostrava look set to be missing striker Filip Kubala with a knee injury, otherwise coach Pavel Hapal has a full squad to choose from.
