Trained by the powerful Gordon Elliott stable, the 6yo gelding travels over to Scotland to make his highly anticipated handicap chase debut. While he has mixed hurdles and fences recently, his best form includes consecutive runner-up finishes in competitive Irish maiden hurdles at Fairyhouse and Downpatrick earlier this year. He showed he retains plenty of enthusiasm and form when finishing a highly encouraging third of twelve over this track and trip last month under today’s jockey, Danny McMenamin. On that occasion, he traveled smoothly and chased the leaders home, beaten just over four lengths. Dropped one pound in the weights to a very attractive mark of 105, he looks beautifully treated in this small six-runner field today.
