Reason for Tip

Low mileage four year old with three starts so far and form of 32U. Was looking progressive and likely to win when unseating rider lto at Chepstow however can be forgiven for that. Lots of progression still likely and is the most unexposed horse in the lineup. Is coming back from a long break since April so questions to answer about going well fresh, but looking at the lineup, I don’t think he’d need to be firing on all cylinders to take this in any event. Trip is perfect and ground is fine, James Bowen gets the ride which is a big positive. When Bowen and Henderson combine they regularly have success and share a 22% strikerate at this track when combining. This is a weak handicap entry point for Laughing John and looks a likely winner.

This classy three-year-old has contested some of the biggest races this season, including a memorable win over Ombudsman in the Eclipse before the form was reversed in the Juddmonte. Despite that, Delacroix retains Group 1 calibre and remains unbeaten at Leopardstown.

With Christophe Soumillon in the saddle, the conditions perfect, and the form book in his favour, Delacroix should take all the beating.

Reasonably consistent in defeat is this ten year old and clearly needed the run when seventh at Fontwell on seasonal return. Looked much better on second start lto here at this track when third behind Eldorado Allen. Remains on a workable mark and further improvement likely today. Trip is the usual 2m4f range and will appreciate ground conditions today. Will take a solid race to reverse placings with Eldorado Allen but Can You Call isn’t written off here, has ability, will likely jump well and should be in contention at the end of the race. Top jockey aboard in Ben Jones and with a little fortune this ten year old can run a big race today and may be a surprise winner at nice odds.

Back at a track that should suit, with the experienced Paul Mulrennan doing the steering, Jordan Electrics looks overpriced and could easily get involved.

Came on very nicely for that run out and returned to winning ways when getting the job done at Sedgefield lto. As a result of 3 wins in last four starts, mark is creeping up but it remains to be seen what mark is going to stall progress. Looks likely to give another big run here over suitable trip on suited ground. Jack Power aboard with his 5lb apprentice claim and yard have a good record in this discipline. Likely winner.

Likely to strip fitter for that run and is no stranger to strong performances at this track. Trip and ground are ideal and whilst this race is a step up to usual, he’s not written by any means. Yard are going very well and have plenty of success in this code, top jockey aboard in Sean Bowen and there is plenty to like about the chances of Herakles Westwood today.

This is a slight step up from recent runs, but has some of the better form on show than most of this field and has shown improvement for each run really. Yard know how to get the done here and Stan Sheppard gets the ride. Lucky Manifest if getting round cleanly is very likely to be bang in contention at the last hurdle. Big chance.

Sax Appeal has been the picture of consistency in the latter half of this year with form of 11234. Wasn’t beaten a long way lto at Kempton and this boy remains very well treated. Generally runs very well here and no real reason we won’t see another solid performance today. Yard ticking along nicely and have a good record here. Plum draw to get well positioned from the off and good booking in Daniel Muscutt. Lots to like.
