Relatively consistent in first three starts, albeit not showing the promise she perhaps should of, however it’s handicap debut here today for Day Of Grace and she is by far and away the most unexposed horse in this race at Thirsk. She is beautifully bred and is likely to come good now handicapping and enters handicaps on quite a low mark. Represents a major stable who are stringing together multiple winners and has stable jockey Tom Marquand aboard. Day of Grace was heavily backed last time out and disappointed and it’s likely the money will come again for this youngster, this time, the job should be done as she looks the winner in this relatively weak Class 5 race.

Two year old who has only ran once and that was back in August at Kempton. Attention Seeker was very very green that day on debut and the result showed that however this gelding is very nicely bred out of Cotai Glory and once that greenness subsides, victories will follow in all likeliness. Should strip more experienced here today on second start and the Eustace yard have reached for the hood today to focus this youngster. The odds represent the debut run, but given how green he was, Attention Seeker could come on leaps and bounds and outrun those odds easily. Kaiya Fraser aboard who is enjoying a good year and it would be no surprise to see this boy run into the places at the very least.

With natural improvement expected on his second start, and the benefit of Kaiya Fraser’s 5lb claim, he could easily outrun his odds.

Looked sharp on debut at Epsom back in July when finishing 3rd, didn’t seem to progress a great deal on second start lto when also finishing third but remains very unexposed and is still open to progress. Course debut at Thirsk today and it isn’t as sharp as some of the tracks this two year has ran at and that may be favourable. Boughey yard has a stellar record at Thirsk and is also in great form currently winning over a 1/4 of races and the booking of top jockey Billy Loughnane is only a further positive. Billy has a 26% strikerate here at Thirsk and so this young colt is in great hands here today. With improvement likely, has a brilliant chance at getting the win.

Nicely bred filly from the Ferguson yard who impressed on debut when winning nicely at Doncaster over 7f in July. Second start here and is open to further progress and whilst there is a couple of notable threats in the field, none of them really hold a flame to Flash of Fire’s debut form. Represents a shrewd yard who are in good form and have a good record at Kempton and has one of the best in the business to do the steering in Oisin Murphy. Oisin has ridden 35% of his rides in the last two weeks to victory and also has a strong record at Kempton too. This talented two year holds multiple group level entries and may prove too strong for this group of contenders today. Looks the winner.

Three year old who struggled in the middle portion of the year when running on the turf and the form showed that, however since returning to the polytrack has been a different proposition with a very comfy win at Lingfield earlier this month and a close second under a penalty lto. Slightly lower in the weights today and that mark makes her a major player. Yard are flying with a fortnightly SR of 31% and jockey Kieran Shoemark is in fine form too. Cardinal Point is in fine form and the trip is ideal for this filly. The win at Lingfield earlier this month was under a Kieran Shoemark ride and it would be no shock whatsoever to see another win here today.
