Reason for Tip

Five runner race here in the 4.30 at Chepstow and Milan Tino from the George yard looks very likely to run out the winner today. Largely consistent since chasing with form of 4142 and only denied last time by a very well handicapped opponent. Doesn’t look to be anything in this field that will throw up a major challenge and Milan Tino still seems to be on a very workable mark. Runs usual trip, the soft ground that’s forecasted is in his favour and he has the benefit of a top jockey aboard in Harry Cobden. Harry has a good record at this course and whilst he’s not ridden a great deal for the Tom George stable, is no doubt a positive booking for this six year old. Milan Tino is taken to return to winning form today.

⭐ NAP of the Day

Our NAP of the Day is Secret Des Lune in the 5.15 at Plumpton.

This unexposed five-year-old from the Ben Clarke yard makes her third start under rules and still looks capable of significant improvement.

She has finished second on both starts so far, showing clear progression each time and posting the strongest figures in this field. With further improvement highly likely, she sets the standard heading into this race.

Another key advantage today is the weight she receives from her main rival, the Moore-trained Double The Dance, which could prove decisive in a tight contest.

Secret Des Lune also has course experience, having run here on debut, and that familiarity with Plumpton could give her a slight edge.

The booking of Sam Twiston-Davies is another major positive. The jockey boasts an excellent 35% strike rate at Plumpton in recent years, making him one of the most reliable riders at the track.

With progression expected and conditions to suit, Secret Des Lune looks the most likely winner on Monday’s card.

Far From Dandy

Reason for Tip

Irish Lincoln time and one who looks a big price with a genuine chance of a big run is four year old Far From Dandy from the Thorne yard. The forecasted ground is heavy and a huge portion of this field aren’t going to handle it, including some of the principals. However, Far From Dandy handles deeper ground and it isn’t so much of a negative for his chances. Completed a Dundalk double at the back end of last year and can be forgiven for the 6th placed finish last time out when met trouble in running and still was only 3 lengths behind the winner. This is obviously a much deeper race today and this youngsters first run at this level, but he’s got a plum draw from stall 1, looks to be on a fair mark and from a small yard who are winning races at the moment. Ben Coen is a talented jockey but not in the best form at the moment, however he knows how to win and I would still consider him a positive booking. Far From Dandy does need to produce a big run to feature here, but if he gets a good start, may be challenging on ground that should suit. Outside chance but a chance nonetheless.

🎯 Dark Horse

Our Dark Horse racing tip is Benignitas in the 3.00 at Ffos Las, currently priced around 11/1.

Although the nine-year-old mare is 0-14 under rules, she has gone close several times and was second over this course and distance two runs ago, showing she is capable of competing at this level.

Her two runs either side of that effort came over longer trips, which do not appear to suit her particularly well. Today she returns to the 2m3f trip, which looks ideal.

This race does not look especially strong and Benignitas appears well handicapped if rediscovering the form she showed over this course earlier in the season.

The expected soft to heavy ground will not be an issue, and the mare also benefits from the booking of Rian Corcoran, who has been riding plenty of winners recently.

The Treacy yard may be a small operation, but they have been enjoying a solid spell and could easily spring a surprise here.

At double-figure odds, Benignitas looks capable of outrunning her price.

Pretty open race here in the second on the card at The Curragh and one who looks primed for a massive run is three year old Breaking Dawn from the O’Callaghan yard. There is an O’Brien trained horse at the head of the market but there is some question marks over that debutant and so Breaking Dawn looks a little more likely to find consistency and a solid run. Does have a wide draw, but capable of starting well and looks potentially a little better than this field with further improvement highly likely. Has a great jockey aboard in Colin Keane and won’t be far away, big chance.

Tobyshill is a six year old from the Scholfield yard who won handily on debut irish point. First run under rules in England was at Ascot in a warm Class 3 novice and was far from disgraced, third of eight that day and open to plenty of further progression today on second start. Runs a trip that will suit on ground that should be ideal. Drops a class today and has be taken seriously here. From a shrewd yard who are very much in form over the last month and has a good booking in Brian Hughes. Lots to like, likely winner.

Five year old Analiese from the Rowley yard has been a picture of success since November last year. Form of 2112 in last four starts and was only denied the hattrick lto by a highly progressive winner. Front pair were miles clear together and only gone up 2lb for that run. Still looks well treated and this looks an easier affair than the race at Newbury last time. Drops back in trip ever so slightly which is of no concern and will handle the ground. Is definitely the form pick and given the small rise from last time, is taken to win again today. Charlie Deutsch aboard is a positive and Analiese looks a very likely victor in this race.

Reason for Tip

Consistent type, form of 31142 dating back to December last year. Still a good few lb above last winning mark but wasn’t far away lto at Chepstow when second of five and that a deeper race than this. Returns to Class 4 company today and looks to have a great chance of resuming winning ways at a track he enjoys and on ground that suits. The increase in trip is the only question mark but handled 2m4f fine back in December at Haydock and so should stay fine. Rian Corcoran and her 7lb allowance return to the saddle and this seven year old horse is from a yard enjoying a good spell. Yard have a good record here and when teaming up with Rian have enjoyed a very solid strikerate. Lots to like, good chance.

🍀 Lucky 15 Tips Today

Here are our Lucky 15 selections for Monday 16th March:

La Marquise – 3.45 Plumpton (5/2)

La Marquise hasn’t quite hit the heights expected recently, with form figures of 18543, but her latest run at Wetherbylooked far more encouraging. That was her first start following a wind operation, and she shaped much better.

The six-year-old was placed in a Grade 2 at Aintree last season, highlighting the level of ability she possesses. Dropping back in trip today should suit and she represents a Jamie Snowden yard that has an excellent record at Plumpton.

With Joe Anderson’s 3lb claim also helping her handicap position, La Marquise looks set for a big run.

Sioux Falls – 4.30 Ffos Las (13/2)

Six-year-old Sioux Falls looks a very interesting runner on handicap debut.

The lightly raced gelding has shown steady progression in his first three starts under rules and ran a solid race when third at Sedgefield last time out over this trip.

Today’s contest looks a relatively weak entry point into handicaps and the Williams yard appear to have placed him well.

With improvement still to come and a favourable race setup, Sioux Falls has a strong chance of making a winning handicap debut.

Galileo Charm – 7.00 Wolverhampton (11/4)

Galileo Charm has produced consistent maiden form with figures of 24632, and his latest effort when second over course and distance suggests a win could be close.

Now making his handicap debut, he could prove well treated off what looks a very fair opening mark.

He also has the advantage of experience at Wolverhampton, a decent draw in stall five, and a strong booking in Richard Havlin.

Trainer Marco Botti’s yard is in excellent form, operating at around a 38% strike rate in the last fortnight, and Galileo Charm looks ready to take advantage.

Kento – 8.00 Wolverhampton (5/2)

Kento has been thriving in 0-55 company, recording two wins including a course-and-distance success last time out.

He now drops into a 0-50 contest off a mark of 50, which makes him look extremely well treated in what appears a weak race.

Drawn well in stall three, Kento tends to break quickly and could take plenty of catching if allowed to dictate the pace.

With Billy Loughnane booked, who has been in outstanding form recently, Kento looks a very strong contender to follow up.
