Reason for Tip

No Tackle particularly enjoys this track and has won here twice previously, wasn’t denied by much when returning to this course lto and finishing second. Form since November is 122 and despite now being nine, clearly remains in good form and is on a very workable mark. Drops in class back to Class 4 company today and looks a major player in this line up. Will be fine on the forecast ground and the slight drop in trip is not of concern. Is one of the more consistent types recently compared to the rest of this field and the last two of his races have been stronger than this. Looks a very likely winner today under a Liam Harrison ride.

No Tackle is a horse who clearly thrives around Leicester and looks set to strike again. The nine-year-old has already won twice at this track and was only narrowly denied when finishing second here last time out. His recent form figures of 1-2-2since November highlight just how consistent he’s been.

Dropping back into Class 4 company today is a big plus, and this race looks weaker than his most recent assignments. The slight drop in trip won’t be an issue, the forecast ground is ideal, and Liam Harrison knows this horse well. Given his course record and current mark, No Tackle looks the one to beat.

Pretty open race here in the 6.30 at Chelmsford and one who is capable of a big run at a big price is six year old Ludo’s Landing from the Johnston yard. Not won in a little while and is well handicapped as a result. Now 3lb below highest winning mark and the return to Chelmsford where he’s ran well on both previous visits could spark a return to form off this mark. Also goes up in trip slightly which isn’t a negative, particularly at a left-handed track which has definitely seemed to be his preference over the years. Represents a shrewd and capable yard with a good course record and has a good booking in Jason Hart who also is no stranger to course success. Might be big odds, but Ludo’s Landing has a few positives going for him today and might just be a surprise at big odds.

A wide-open race at Chelmsford and one where Ludo’s Landing could easily outrun his odds. He hasn’t won for a while, but that has seen his mark tumble to 3lb below his last winning rating, making him very interesting here.

He’s shown an affinity for Chelmsford on previous visits and returns to a left-handed track, which has suited him well in the past. The slight step up in trip is another potential positive, and Jason Hart is a solid booking for a yard that knows how to place their horses. At double-figure odds, a big run wouldn’t surprise.

Form of 29 in bumpers and made first hurdle start lto at Hereford. Was a strong third that day and is likely to improve and come on from that experience. Goes on heavy ground today which shouldn’t pose too many issues and will be fine over this trip. This is a pretty wide open race and one that doesn’t look beyond the reach of Western Cross. Has a decent jockey aboard in Sean Houlihan and he remains very unexposed in this sphere. Lots to like about the chances today and yard have a 31% strikerate at this course in the last two years.

Six year old Largy Belter has perhaps been a little underwhelming since joining the Skeltons but has at least been progressive which culminated in a strong 2nd place finish lto on fourth chase start. Remains open to progress and certainly the last couple of runs have been quite warm races and he’s been looking better and better. Runs at Leicester for the first time and drops back in trip to 1m7f today which could be the switch up needed. With further improvement likely and Tristan Durrell aboard Largy Belter may just get the job done today.

Six year old Dubai Harbour has been largely consistent of late and form reads 2534 in last four starts. Drops to a mark of 49 today which is low enough where it has to be noticed as he’s looking rather handicapped at this point. Has a plum draw today in stall 1 and this race is certainly on the weaker end of the ones he’s contested recently. Paddy Bradley retains the ride and he’s riding well currently with a 30 day strikerate of just over 20%. Has won over C&D on a couple of occasions over the years and is more than capable of taking this race today off the slightly reduced mark. Major player.

Disappointing in first four maidens with form of 0876 but looked a different proposition when running first handicap lto at Wolverhampton. Second of nine that day and further progression still highly likely. The extra furlong lto looked to suit and so yard have kept him over that trip which looks to be a positive for this youngster. Has an ok draw from stall 4 and looks primed to get that first win soon and it’s likely it could be today. Yard and jockey both in brilliant form and both have good records here at Chelmsford. When they’ve combined at this track over the last few years they’ve won 40% of the races and that’s a strong indicator. Big chance in a race that looks very winnable and Crimson Rambler looks a very likely winner under a Callum Shepherd ride.
