Reason for Tip

For a four year old, Fast Track Harry is still very low mileage with only seven starts to his name and remains open to plenty of further progression. Made a very strong start to handicapping when second in a very warm race at York back in June last year and after two disappointing runs at Ascot following that, returned lto from a break to win in nice style at Lingfield. That was first run after a gelding op and he looked much more settled and relaxed throughout the race and i’d be surprised if he doesn’t kick on for that win and improve again. This is his usual trip and whilst this may be course debut at this track, yard are enjoying a good spell and have a very favourable strikerate in the last month. Rob Hornby aboard is a huge plus at this course, he has 40% of his races in the last two years at this course and Fast Track Harry is in very good hands here. Looks a very likely winner again today.

Free Your Spirit looks the standout on the card. He showed promise on debut before improving dramatically to win comfortably at Wolverhampton last time out, pulling clear by three lengths with plenty in hand.

He carries a 7lb penalty today, but that is completely negated by the booking of talented apprentice Donagh Murphy, who takes off 7lb. Drawn well in stall 2 and still very much unexposed, Free Your Spirit looks to have far more upside than his rivals.

Unless something improves out of all recognition, he should take a lot of beating and looks a very strong NAP.

Bit inconsistent at times but on his day Jeriko De Baune is more than capable of contesting races at this level and did so when winning at Clonmel over 3 miles back in November. Couple of lesser performances recently have dropped his mark and now just 3lb above the mark he won off at Clonmel. Acts on this trip and will appreciate the ground today. Looking a bit well handicapped and 18/1 looks a big price considering his only other run at this course was a good performance. Yard have a decent record in this race and at this course generally. Usual jockey Niall Moore retains the ride and it would be no surprise if this horse ran into the places at least today at a nice price. Chance.

The Organiser is now extremely well handicapped, running off a mark of 63 — 1lb below his last winning mark and a full 7lb below his highest winning rating.

He shaped well last time out when finishing third in a stronger Class 4 race at this track and now drops back into Class 6 company, which gives him a huge chance. The same 6f trip suits, and in a wide-open race, The Organiser looks overpriced at double-figure odds and capable of going very close.

12 year old Enjoy D’allen still knows how to get the job done even at this age as he’s proven three times this season already. Got up again lto by over 7 lengths at Plumpton and only gone up 2lb for that success. Looks to still be well treated and runs in very similar conditions today both in trip and the ground that’s forecast. Very small 3 runner field here in the first on the card and Enjoy D’Allen looks a major player. Lily Jones retains the ride, knows the horse well and has won on this boy a few times now. Pretty open looking race and top weight Enjoy D’Allen looks the likely victor.

Nine year old Gris Majeur returns to action today after 112 days off and looks very capable of making a winning return. Looked very solid and consistent in all last four starts over fences and form reads 2123 since April last year. Versatile distance wise and will be fine over this trip and this looks a good distance for his return run. Drying ground is particularly favourable and will act on this today. Has gone well fresh previously and likely to put in a big run despite the break. Stable is a smaller one but have a good record at this course and that tends to speak volumes for smaller operations. Top jockey enlisted for today in Ben Jones and he’s won 33% of rides aboard Lewis trained horses at this track. Major player today.

Pretty open looking race here in the 4.10 and one who looks set for a big run is nine year old Scudamore from the Candlish yard who has strung together some strong performances of late, including over C&D two starts ago. Looks on a good mark and looks to have a great chance today at a course he enjoys and on ground he will relish following some recent runs on less than favourable ground conditions. Reliable jumper and will make the running and this race looks a little more winnable than a couple of recent contests. Jennie is enjoying a fine time of it over the last couple of weeks and thats a positive for Scudamore too. Ian Power back aboard today. Good chance.

Interesting race here with a lot of unexposed three year olds and one who catches the eye at nice odds who’s capable of much better than debut performance is Midsummer Storm from the Burke yard. Very green on debut at Newcastle back in February when fourth of ten and likely a big improver today. Very nicely bred and cost a princely sum of 550,000 euros. Drops back a furlong in trip today which shouldn’t pose any issues and despite being drawn wide in stall 8, should have a very good chance here. Bred for much better, likely to see that today and has a jockey change to James Doyle for this run. Burke yard are in form, have an excellent record here and when James Doyle rides for the yard, theyve won 32% of races and on the only occasion where they combined at this course in the last two years, won very nicely. Midsummer Storm is taken to get the job done today on second start.

🍀 Lucky 15 Tips Today

Tiger Crusade – 1.05 Lingfield (13/2)

Trainer: D M Simcock | Jockey: Callum Shepherd

Tiger Crusade can be a little awkward at times, but he showed his ability when taking advantage of a class drop to score at Brighton back in June. He returned from a break last time out here at Lingfield and ran a perfectly credible race when finishing third.

That run should have blown away the cobwebs, and he now returns to the same track, same trip, and same mark, which looks a big positive. Drawn reasonably in stall 5 and partnered by Callum Shepherd, this race is well within reach. A fitter Tiger Crusade looks set to produce a big run.

Forceful Lady – 2.35 Lingfield (4/1)

Trainer: A W Carroll | Jockey: William Carson

Forceful Lady has taken a big step forward in recent starts and looks to be turning a corner. She finished second at Wolverhampton in November and looked the likely winner last time at Chelmsford before being badly hampered late on.

She runs here off a very workable mark in what looks a weak race on paper. A plum draw in stall 1 suits her front-running style perfectly, and William Carson retains the ride. If allowed an easy lead, Forceful Lady may take some catching.

Lerwick – 6.00 Kempton (7/2)

Trainer: D M Loughnane | Jockey: George Wood

This is a tricky race, but Lerwick looks to hold strong claims. He struggled for form over 6f earlier in the season but showed much more when stepped back up to 7f here at Kempton last time, finishing a close third in a competitive field.

The return of blinkers is a major positive, as many of his best performances have come with the headgear applied. Drawn wide in stall 8, he’ll need to break well, but if able to race prominently, Lerwick looks a major player in an open contest.

Popmaster – 6.30 Kempton (5/1)

Trainer: Ed Walker | Jockey: Oisin Murphy

Popmaster is an eight-year-old who has hinted at a return to form of late, with his third at Southwell last time out representing his best run for some time. He should now be spot on fitness-wise after two runs this winter.

A drop back to 7f looks a sensible move, and a perfect draw in stall 1 is another plus. Add in the booking of Oisin Murphy for a yard that does well at Kempton, and Popmaster looks capable of going very close in a modest race.
