Macktoad is an unexposed three year old from the Moore yard who has impressed greatly so far. Bought for six figures after winning French Bumper in May before winning in very nice style after 6 months off for new yard at Sandown earlier this month. Remains open to plenty of further progress and whilst this is a warmer race, Macktoad is priced at 1/1 for a reason, looks a very smart prospect and a relatively simple youngster who just gets the job done. Trip is the same as lto and ground looks suited. Represents a yard who has won this race twice in the last five years and they have a very good chance at taking the win again today. Caoilin Quinn aboard for the ride and Macktoad could prove too strong for this lot today.

⭐ NAP of the Day

Raveena – 6.30 Chelmsford – 13/8

Raveena is a progressive young filly who continues to move in the right direction with each run. Her recent form figures of 8452 don’t tell the full story, as she has shaped better than the bare results suggest and looks ready to strike.

She drops back to 5f for the first time, which looks a positive given how strongly she has travelled over further. The draw is ideal, and with Kieren Shoemark booked, she should be sharp away and well positioned from the off.

This is a very winnable race, she remains unexposed, and further improvement is expected.
NAP — looks the most likely winner on the card.

Six year old Greyval from the O’Brien yard was a strong hurdler who has since been sent chasing on last two starts. Debut chase was a close second at Huntingdon before failing to fire on any cylinders at Cheltenham lto. Remains unexposed in this discipline and showed promise at Huntingdon so a line can be drawn through the run lto, which was arguably just too short a trip. Remains very unexposed at this distance and the last she ran this far, was that 2nd place chasing debut. Looks to prefer the longer trips and so lots to like today on ground that she will enjoy. Pretty open race and would be no surprise to see Greyval competing at the end and with a bit of luck, could get up for the win at a lovely price.

🎯 Dark Horse

Mr Zee is priced up at huge odds in a race where, outside of the odds-on favourite, things look far more open than the market suggests.

A previous Taunton winner, Mr Zee handles any ground and now finds himself below his last winning mark. His recent form of 074 shows quiet improvement as his rating has fallen, and the forecast soft ground is absolutely no issue.

With bookmakers paying three places, he looks more than capable of getting involved for place money, and at 40/1, even that would represent excellent value.
Big outsider, but not written off.

Six year old As Legends Have It has been knocking on the door consistently for a while now. Form since January this year reads 33233 and whilst the win has been elusive, hasn’t been far away. Remains on a very workable mark and the switch to Wetherby could be the change needed. Yard going along nicely and Beau Morgan aboard with his 5lb apprentice allowance. Trip and ground are suited and we will no doubt see another contesting run from this serial placer but absolutely has a chance for win purposes and is taken to do so.

Ambion view has started this season well with two second place finishes in the two runs so far. This is a slighter warmer race today but from what we’ve already seen Ambion View seems to be progressing nicely this term and is likely to do so again today. Gets ideal trip and on ideal ground at a course the Tizzards have had success at previously. Pretty wide open race but it looks right up this six year olds street and it would be no surprise to see Ambion View win this today.

Top weight Viroflay arrives here in fantastic form which reads 21222 with the latter two being on first two starts this campaign. This eight year old generally loves this course and has won and finished second in last two starts at the track. Looks primed and ready for this after two strong seasonal run outs and trip is fine, along with favourable ground. Olive Nicholls and her 5lb apprentice allowance are aboard for the ever imposing Nicholls yard. They have a fantastic record at this course and if Viroflay is even close to being on full song, could take this nicely.

Get An Attitude is an unexposed 2 year old form the Burke stable who ran a very solid race on debut lto at Newcastle when second despite showing some hints of greenness. Likely to take a big step forward today and goes up in trip very slightly which on pedigree is a positive. Yard have had an outstanding year with their two year olds and this one is taken to improve beyond rivals today and get the job done second time of asking. Yard have a great record here, has an ok draw and has a good jockey aboard in Pierre-Louis Jamin. Lots to like and likely winner.

A progressive ex-Irish runner who has taken very well to life with the Owen yard. Improved with each start for the stable and got the job done nicely at Wolverhampton last time.

Still looks well treated, likely to go forward early, and although drawn wide, he usually breaks well. The Owen yard is flying and Von Krolock looks a major player again.

2️⃣ Vision De Maine – 2.00 Exeter – 7/4

A consistent chaser who returned from a break with a solid third at Ascot. That run should have brought him on nicely, and he now drops into a race that looks very winnable.

The straight 3m suits, soft ground is a plus, and the Pipe yard know exactly how to place these types. Looks primed to strike off this mark.

3️⃣ Noisy Music – 3.22 Southwell – 8/1

Trainer: M Appleby
Jockey: Saffie Osborne

Showed strong form earlier in the year with a 122 sequence at Wolverhampton. Two quieter runs since but shaped as though a return to form isn’t far away.

This looks a slightly weaker race, she’s proven at the track, and Saffie Osborne is a big positive booking. At the price, she looks capable of outrunning odds.

4️⃣ Hinchinbrooke – 8.30 Chelmsford – 7/2

Trainer: Jane Chapple-Hyam
Jockey: Harry Davies

Still a maiden after nine starts but has gone very close recently with back-to-back seconds. Runs off the same mark again and now drops into slightly weaker company.

Good draw, ideal trip, and Harry Davies is riding with confidence. Everything points towards Hinchinbrooke finally getting off the mark.
