Has ran ok on first two starts for the O’Meara’s but has gown down at short prices both times and question marks remain. However, his rating was dropped 4 from the second place lto and that’s a drastic reduction really and reflects the short odds he failed to win from but as a result this mark looks extremely workable. Makes course debut here today but it’s a course both jockey and yard have respectable records at. This isn’t a strong race and whilst the Archi Watson horse is very unexposed, off this mark Hostility should get the job done today at third time of asking for the O’Meara’s. Good jockey aboard in Jason Watson and this slightly sharper conditions today should suit. Looks the winner.

After a couple of near misses for the O’Meara yard, Hostility looks poised to get off the mark at the third time of asking. He’s been narrowly beaten twice in competitive fields but drops to a very workable mark here following a 4lb reduction.
Makes course debut at a track the yard and jockey both do well at, and with sharper conditions expected to suit, Hostility should be too strong for this Class 5 field.
Looks the clear standout and banker of the day.

Reason for Tip

Four year old who was clearly struggling earlier this year and the decision was made to send him for a wind operation which paid dividends as he looked a different horse on first start post operation when winning nicely at Catterick. Edgewater Drive can be forgiven for the fourth place lto as it was over 7f and on very testing heavy ground neither of which are ideal and so the return to 5f and better ground here puts him right back in the mix. Looks capable of a big showing here today and a relatively short favourite is making his price slightly over generous in my opinion. Should make all the running and has an ok chance today in this.

Returned from a wind operation to win nicely at Catterick and shaped better than the result lto when unsuited by the 7f trip and heavy ground.
Drops back to 5f and much more suitable going today, which should help this front-running four-year-old rediscover winning form.
He’s capable of going close here at a nice price and looks a solid each-way play.

Reason for Tip

Four year old who was formerly with the Appleby yard and is now with Ian Williams. Struggled in the higher grades he was contesting and when dropped back into Class 6 company lto looked a much more comfortable race which ultimately ended up in him finished a short second. That was the first run in a couple of months so despite going up 2lb for that, should strip fitter today and looks a major player from stall 3. Yard going very nicely at the moment and a top booking in Billy Loughnane only further this boys chances. Big chance.

Very unexposed and low mileage five year old from the Pauling yard who has only two runs to his name and cost a pretty penny at £120,000. Won his debut in Ireland before running very creditably on second start lto in a hotly contested race at Ayr, finished 4th that day. Does have a 199 day break to contend with but this is a relatively weak hurdling entry point for a horse such as Kalkbrenner who looks a promising sort. If tuned up enough after the break, looks capable of running clear today. Yard in strong form with a good record here and jockey Ben Jones is riding many to victory currently along with winning 20% of his rides at this course historically. Major player.

Largely consistent and reliable six year old with form of 23114. Whilst good form seemed to be curtailed lto over C&D, that was a Class 4 on good ground and he drops back in grade today on preferred softer ground. Remains on a very workable mark and has a good low draw from stall 3 which is a further positive. Considering his fourth lto in warmer company than this, looks the major form pick from this line up and William Pyle retains the ride. Big chance.

Ex French horse Amused won his final start in France in August on soft ground before moving over to the Boyle yard. Somewhat subpar on stable debut at Ascot earlier this month but looked to find his feet lto over C&D when finishing in good style to come second. Capable of more and this looks a relatively weak race today for him to prove that back at this track. Has a top jockey in Kieren Shoemark and the return to soft ground is a big plus, this three year old has consistently ran best with some give in the ground and looks a major threat today on third start for the Boyle’s.
