Liverpool made it four wins on the trot in the English Premier League over the weekend as The Reds registered a 1-0 win away from home against Burnley at Turf Moor, but Arne Slot’s side had to wait until a 90th minute penalty gave Mo Salah the chance to grab all three points from the spot for the Merseyside outfit.

Nevertheless, Liverpool sit top of the Premier League table with their 100% winning record still intact as they turn their attentions to Matchday 1 of the Champions League on Wednesday night when they’ll entertain Spanish La Liga side, Atletico Madrid.

The Reds have won seven of their last nine Champions League ties at Anfield and this should give Arne Slot’s side plenty of confidence for this opening game of the league phase.

Liverpool are flying domestically and will be confident of extending their strong Champions League record at Anfield.
