Unbeaten Carlisle United will be looking to build upon their encouraging start to life in the National League when The Cumbrians entertain Solihull Moors at Brunton Park on Tuesday night after picking up four points from their opening two games of the new season.

Carlisle United suffered relegation from League Two at the end of last season but the club have stuck by manager Mark Hughes whose remit will be to fire the north-east outfit back into the Football League at the first time of asking this season.

A promising start to this new term has seen Carlisle United pick up a 2-0 win away from home at Woking on the opening day of the season followed by gaining a point in an entertaining 3-3 draw at home with Boreham Wood.

Solihull Moors will be desperate to improve upon what was considered a disappointing 14th place finish last season in the National League table this time around but a trip up to Brunton Park on Tuesday night is probably not at the top of manager Matthew Taylor’s wish list right now!

In-between the two draws so far this season in the National League with the west midlands club picking up points in stalemates with Forest Green Rovers and Sutton United respectively, The Moors also suffered a 2-1 loss at home to Everton U21 in the National League Cup as well.

In addition, Solihull Moors lost 10 of their 23 away games in last season’s non-league top flight campaign.

Crvena Zvezda (otherwise known as Red Star Belgrade) will get first bite of the proverbial home advantage cherry on Tuesday night as they prepare for the visit of Cypriot visitors, Pafos, when the two teams face off at the Stadium Rajko Mitić in this 1st leg of their Champions League play-off tie.

The Serbian hosts currently sit top of the domestic Mozzart Bet Superliga having exploded out of the blocks after winning each of their four opening games of the new season along with accounting for the likes of Lincoln Red Imps and Lech Poznan in the previous qualifying rounds of this season’s Champions League.

Pafos find themselves in unchartered territory in the early stages of this new season as the Cypriot outfit have never participated in the Champions League before and their previous best was a round of last 16 appearance in the UEFA Conference League.

Nevertheless, Juan Carlos Carcedo’s side find themselves just two legs away from achieving a financially lucrative place in the group stage of this season’s competition following wins in the qualifying rounds against Maccabi Tel Aviv and Dynamo Kyiv respectively.

Team News: Red Star coach Vladan Milojevic is likely to field his strongest team for this 1st leg clash which means a return in goal for Matheus Magalhaes while forward Cherif Ndiaye should start up front. Defender Rodrigao and midfielder Rade Krunic are both suspended for this tie.

Pafos will also be missing midfielder Domingos Quina through suspension but forwards Jaja, Anderson Silva and Muamer Tankovic are all pushing for starts in attack.
