French champions Paris Saint-Germain welcome AS Monaco to the Parc des Princes for the third meeting between these sides in less than a month — and this one could have serious implications at the top end of Ligue 1.

PSG strengthened their grip on the title race last weekend and are now unbeaten in their last 10 league matches, winning nine of them. At home, Luis Enrique’s side have been ruthless, winning three consecutive Ligue 1 matches by an aggregate score of 11-0.

Defensively, Les Parisiens are tightening up too, with three clean sheets in their last four league outings. They are also unbeaten in their last six home games against Monaco — a psychological edge heading into Friday’s showdown.

Monaco, however, are finding rhythm again. After a disappointing European exit, they’ve bounced back with three straight Ligue 1 victories, including a dramatic 3-2 comeback win over Lens.

The concern for the visitors lies in their record against top-five opposition away from home, where they’ve struggled for both goals and results. Still, Monaco’s attacking unit — spearheaded by Balogun and Golovin — ensures they remain dangerous.

This promises to be open, high-tempo and tactically intriguing.

Small field handicap here in the third race on the Lingfield card and the obvious answer to this race is Beaumadier. After some hit and miss performances early last month bounced right back lto at Wolverhampton when winning comfortably by over 3 lengths. Returns to Lingfield today over the same trip and this is a course this six year old has some good performances at. Had an awful draw lto at Wolverhampton but gets a cracker today from stall 1. 3lb well in under a penalty and looks set to complete a double. Billy Loughnane is aboard today which is a positive jockey change and Billy is riding well at the moment with a strikerate north of 20% in the last 30 days. If Beaumadier can string the strong runs together here, should run out the winner in this. Great chance.

Six year old Crossgales King has yet to win over hurdles and is 0-5 in this sphere but has been progressive with form of 75442 which culminated in a very strong second placed finish lto over C&D behind a smart rival. This is a weaker race here today and will be fine on the firmer ground today. Good record at this course and looks primed for another big run today. Ciaran O’Shea gets the ride and whilst he’s not riding lots of races at the moment, his strikerate is very high at the moment and he’s won here at this track before. Crossgales King looks likely to be heavily involved here.

Largely consistent eight year old who had a rare bad run lto at Fakenham when pulled up. Form prior to that was 3126 and looks to be on a very workable mark. Runs a trip that’s well within range today on ground that’s well suited and looks the type to put in a bounce back performance today. This race looks wide open for the taking with most of the horses in here struggling to find consistency recently. Safe Destination represents an experienced yard with a good jockey aboard in Sam Twiston-Davies. Would be no surprise to this horse bounce back today and if doing say has more than enough to take this race by the scruff of the neck and run out the winner.

Had been hovering around the placed at the back end of last year and then starting new year in fine style when getting up to win a Class 3 here at Lingfield in January. Couple of sub par performances last twice but excuses can be made for these runs as they were a wide draw that didn’t suit and then a bad start and hampered running and so The Thames Boatman looks a big danger still only 2lb higher than his win from a plum draw out of stall 1 today. This race is definitely not out of reach dropping back to Class 4 company at a course he has very good history at and the booking of Billy Loughnane only bolsters chances. Looks a very likely winner.

Nikovo has plenty of ability despite form being a case of knocking on the door of late. Third or second in last three starts and the third lto was not far away in a bunched finish and runs off the same mark today in the race he won last year. Ok draw in stall 6 and will be fine, pretty versatile to race positioning and as long as Jason Hart can get him well positioned at the break, should run on well as he has been. Couple ahead of this boy in the market but Nikovo knows this course very well and so does jockey Jason Hart who is back aboard. Jason is riding very well at the moment and Nikovo looks very well placed for a big challenge today.

Out of sorts for old yard last year and changed yards at the back end of last year and now resides with the Candlish’s. Solid fourth on debut for the new yard in January but failed to back that up lto at here at this track when a remote seventh. Did race far too freely that day and under a tighter ride is likely to run a better race. Drawn wide but does a lot of racing from the rear so won’t mind slotting in towards the back here. Jockey change today to Lewis Edmunds is no negative and Lewis is riding pretty well at the moment. Drops back into 0-75 company today and can’t be completely ruled off at this level off this mark and so a chance is taken on this five year old bouncing back and into the places at the least.

Two of France’s strongest sides collide in what promises to be the standout quarter-final tie of this season’s Coupe de France as Olympique Lyonnais host RC Lens at the Groupama Stadium.

Lyon have made a habit of reaching the latter stages of this competition, progressing to the quarter-finals for the seventh time in the last eight editions. Paulo Fonseca’s side have been defensively solid in the cup, conceding just once in three matches so far.

Their home form is particularly intimidating. Les Gones have won nine consecutive matches at the Groupama Stadium in all competitions, keeping clean sheets in their last three. They have also won eight straight Coupe de France home ties — a statistic that underlines their dominance on this stage.

Lens, however, arrive with serious attacking intent. Pierre Sage’s men have scored 10 goals across their three Coupe de France fixtures this season and look determined to push for silverware after their Ligue 1 title challenge has faded slightly in recent weeks.

Sage has lost just one of his last nine away matches in all competitions, and Lens have shown they are capable of matching anyone on their day. This sets up a fascinating battle between Lyon’s structure and Lens’ attacking rhythm.

Tottenham Hotspur are in full crisis mode. Sunday’s 2-1 defeat to Fulham extended their winless Premier League run to 10 matches — their worst top-flight sequence since 1994. Even more concerning, Spurs remain the only side without a league victory in 2026.

Four straight league defeats have dragged them into the bottom half, and confidence appears fragile. Defensively they look vulnerable, while in attack they are overly reliant on moments rather than sustained pressure.

Crystal Palace, meanwhile, also suffered a 2-1 loss last time out against Manchester United, but Oliver Glasner’s side have been competitive in London derbies. Palace have lost just once in their last nine Premier League London away fixtures, a statistic that should give them confidence heading into North London.

Spurs did win 1-0 at Selhurst Park earlier in the season, but Palace returned the favour with a 2-0 victory at this stadium late last campaign. Recent history suggests this fixture rarely lacks intensity.

With both sides vulnerable defensively and desperate for points, this shapes up as an open encounter.
