Four year old Son of Shirocco who has only ran twice and has been progressive. Fifth on debut at Wincanton before a strong third of eight at Newbury lto in a Class 3. The form from that race has since been franked and so Sixty’s Rock looks a major player today in this field which is a weaker affair than lto. Very unexposed and open to plenty of progress still. Runs the same straight 2 miles today on good ground which is suited and looks a very likely winner with in form Thomas Bellamy aboard. Yard also in exceptional form at the moment and Sixty’s Rock looks the winner in waiting.

Lightly raced six year old with rules form of 116. Won his first two starts in nice style at Southwell and Plumpton over 2 miles before being sent into a grade 2 novice event at Cheltenham lto in January. Was a bit too deep that race over a little too far distance wise and so on the drop back into Class 3 company over the 2 miles again, hard to discount this youngster. Will be fine on the soft ground and looks set to resume winning ways today with further improvement still highly likely. From the shrewd and successful Murphy yard with one of the best in the business aboard in Sean Bowen. Can’t see Adonedeal far away today and looks a nice price at 13/2.

Rather weak race here in the 4.30 at Plumpton and the obvious choice is Lasko Des Obeaux from the Derhams. Never far away in either of his large field maidens and the form of 233 is some of the best available in this lineup. More unexposed than any other horse in this field and this is a weak entry point today for his handicap debut. Goes up in trip slightly which on pedigree is a positive and the forecasted ground is sure to suit. Yard and jockey both have stellar records at this course and know how to get the job done here. This unexposed youngster looks very capable of improving beyond the field today on handicap debut and is taken to do just that.

Interesting little race here in the second on the card at Wolverhampton. One who takes a fancy at quite a nice price is three year old Church Wedding from the Beckett yard. By no means disgraced on debut at Kempton back in January when third of thirteen and only beaten 2 lengths that day. Was a beaten favourite but should have shook off any greenness with that run and be ready to send it here today. Has a good draw from stall 3, is a nicely bred filly and the extra yardage today on pedigree is a big positive. Beckett horses can often have considerable improvements on second starts and so we are hopeful that’s the case today. Rossa Ryan gets the ride which is a plus and Rossa has a 44% strikerate in the last couple of weeks along with solid course form too. Massive chance for this youngster today.

Six year old Kap Vert has shown a liking for the fences since being switched to them in December. Won his first chase at Taunton and strong performances in warmer races since at Kempton and Ascot when third and fourth. Eased a 1lb for that fourth lto and goes in an easier looking race today. Dropped in trip slightly to the same one he won over at Taunton and the ground today looks ideal for Kap Vert. Sean Houlihan gets the ride. The form from the Ascot race has been incredibly strong with three of them going on to win since and Kap vert looks set to do the same. With another solid round of jumping, looks the one to beat here but I dont think he will be.

Hughes trained Spirit Lead Me completed a quick fire double in Class 6 company off marks of 64 and 70 back in September last year but has failed to cope with the increased mark. Initially put up to 77 following the second win and form since then has read 496. We’ve seen better runs as the mark has dropped and now goes off a mark of 74 today in a race that looks open and winnable. Average draw in stall 7 but does have some decent course experience and this slightly sharper trip could be favourable. Represents a yard doing very well at the moment and has an in form jockey aboard too in Finley Marsh. Both are not strangers to success at this course and have a strikerate here of 24% when combining. We are banking on the slightly reduced mark in a weaker race leading to big things but it’s certainly not out of the question today and looks capable of outrunning 16/1. Chance.
