Some interesting snippets from past runnings of the Derby, stall 10, where Lambourn will begin has produced 11 winners since stalls were introduced and McGrath winning Delacroix is in stall 14 which has never produced a winner. Wayne Lordan gets the ride in the Derby with Ryan Moore opting for Delacroix. O’Brien has a good record in this race and is bidding for an 11th Derby win. With the progression we’ve seen from Lambourn this year, the ground and trip being comfortable and a favourable stall draw, at 12/1 this 3 year old is worth some EW money and may just reverse the McGrath placings with Delacroix.
