Three year old Thanh Nam has form of 11752 and whilst a little inconsistent at times, knows how to get the job done. Bounced back from two sub par runs in nice style lto at Wolverhampton when a close second and the good form is likely to continue here today. Drawn in stall 7 potentially not ideal but he is pretty versatile in run style and can come from deep so shouldn’t pose any great issues. From a shrewd and successful yard and this race is not an overly strong one so Thanh Nam could be a big player. Useful apprentice aboard with a 5lb allowance and and if this youngster can rally on the form we know he has in him, could take this comfortably.

Five year old Poetisa won handily on debut in a NHF at Cheltenham but struggled on first time over hurdles lto at Punchestown. Still managed to rally for second and so that shows some positives to take into this race today which is a higher grade. Wasn’t the cleanest jumper last time and i’ve no doubt will come on nicely for the experience and potentially could be much much better today. Today’s trip and ground are fine and whilst there is a shorty at the head of the market, Poetisa is from one of Ireland’s most successful yards and is still very unexposed, capable of improving beyond the field here. Danny Mullins gets the ride, big chance.

Monks Mead has been there of thereabouts last year but has really come on this year and won nicely in January at Lingfield and nearly followed up when second at the same venue lto. Clearly enjoying a good spell and no reason the form won’t continue, mark is very workable and looks a major player in this race today. Loves to sit back and come over the top at the break and so the wide draw is not an issue at all for Monks Mead. George Bass aboard again is a positive thing, he knows how to get the job done on this boy. Likely winner.

This seven year old is nicely bred and perhaps didn’t achieve what he ought to achieve over hurdles but has been resurgent since being switches to chasing. Form of 1332 since November and has proven himself on each start. Progression in this discipline is probably far from done and this trip of 3miles seems to be bang on the money for him over fences. Will be fine on the heavy ground and will stay no question. Was behind Oscars Brother at Punchestown but only by around 3lengths and Bossofthebrownies is 5lb better off today against that rival who is currently 4/5 odds on favourite. Top jockey aboard in Darragh O’Keefe who has a good record here and it would not be a surprise at all to see him get the job done aboard Bossofthebrownies today. Big chance.

French youngster who was third at Auteuil on debut and now runs in this NHF at Naas today. The form from that race in Auteuil is very strong and the winner has since completed a hattrick and finished fourth in a Grade 1 so this boy’s third that day holds plenty of merit. Should cope with the heavy ground that’s forecast here today and the trip is absolutely within firing range. This race is wide open for the taking and full of unexposed youngsters and the form from Luidgi’s first race can’t be ignored. Should come on for that first run and has a decent apprentice aboard in Mr M O’Neill. This race really is anyone’s for the taking and Luidgi Du Luy looks a nice price at 9/1 and is definitely capable of competing and winning this race today.

Interesting newcomer here from the Crisford yard who is nicely bred and has some notable relations with group 1 successes. This isn’t a tough assignment for a debut and whilst there is one ahead of Picture Palace in the market, that horse is thrice raced and whilst has shown sparks of ability, it wouldn’t take a huge debut run from Picture Palace to take this. From a yard who have a great record with their newcomers and they know how to ready them so wouldn’t expect this three year old to show too many signs of greenness and should be largely ready to strike. On breeding this straight mile is going to be ideal and this track should suit Picture Palace, particularly in a small four runner race like this. Harry Davies aboard for the ride is always a positive on Crisford trained horses and he knows how to win at this track. Always a risk in throwing a newcomer up for the NAP of the day but could be a contest Picture Palace takes in his strike and is a big player in this.

Brighton v Crystal Palace Preview

The second M23 derby of the season takes place on Sunday afternoon as Brighton & Hove Albion host rivals Crystal Palace at the AMEX Stadium, with just two points separating the sides in the Premier League table.

Brighton sit 13th after 24 league games, having collected seven wins, 10 draws and seven defeats, a run that neatly sums up their season so far. That inconsistency has carried into 2026, with Fabian Hürzeler’s side managing just one Premier League win in January, a month dominated by stalemates.

However, another victory here would lift the Seagulls as high as ninth, keeping faint European hopes alive as the business end of the campaign approaches.

Crystal Palace arrive on the south coast in far more troubling form. Oliver Glasner’s side have gone over two months without a Premier League win, drawing twice and losing five during that period, a run that has dragged them closer to the relegation picture than the top half.

Their struggles were compounded by a humiliating FA Cup exit to Macclesfield, a result that further underlined the lack of confidence currently running through the Palace squad.

With Brighton steadier at home and Palace badly in need of a response, this derby could prove pivotal for both sides’ seasons.

Juventus v Lazio Preview

Following a meek midweek cup exit, Juventus will be looking for an immediate response in Serie A when they welcome Lazio to the Allianz Stadium on Sunday evening.

Luciano Spalletti’s influence has transformed Juventus over recent months. The Bianconeri have won seven of their last nine Serie A matches, scoring 21 goals in the process, a run bettered only by title favourites Inter Milan during that period.

Juve’s resurgence has lifted them firmly into the top four, secured their place in the Champions League knockout phase, and maintained an unbeaten home record in Serie A, conceding just eight league goals at the Allianz Stadium. They have also won each of their last three home league meetings with Lazio, strengthening the hosts’ case further.

Lazio, by contrast, arrive in Turin amid growing uncertainty. Former Juve boss Maurizio Sarri is enduring a turbulent second spell in charge, with internal tensions and a thinned-out squad contributing to the Biancocelesti sliding down to 8th place.

The Rome club now sit nine points adrift of sixth-placed Como, and their hopes of European qualification appear to be fading fast. Their struggles are particularly stark away from home; Lazio have scored just six goals in 11 away Serie A matches, their worst return at this stage of a season since 1990, and have managed only three away wins.

Given Juventus’ formidable home form and Lazio’s lack of cutting edge on the road, the balance of this fixture strongly favours the hosts.

Boye Mafe has been the most consistent threat for the Seahawks as a pash rusher off the edge and in a superbowl matchup, I would image that he is the most likely player to get to Maye, especially looking at the LT spot with Will Campbell who has given up regular sacks recently.

I have no doubt that this is going to be a tight game across the board, but I just cant help but feel this is Seattle’s year. There’s a great story there with QB Sam Darnold, they are better than new England as an offence and their defence is more than capable of standing up to New Englands offence. As long as Sam Darnold has a clean game, the Seahawks should win this.

Alluding to the last point, I expect this game to be tight. New Englands offence has not been amazing in the post season, albeit last game due to weather restrictions. The Seahawks can score with ease, but are coming up against a complete defence in New England with little weaknesses. As such, a close cagey game with the under hitting.

Hunter Henry is a security blanket for Maye with a pair of safe hands and a skillset that allows him to be open in short yardage situations. Henry see’s a share of targets per game and in a game where the security blanket becomes of increasing need (think Mahomes and Kelce), Henry should easily hit the market here.

One of the old guards of the NFL now, Kupp is in his first season with the Seahawks after spending his career with the LA Rams. I wouldnt put it out the realms of possibility that he retires after this game. He started off the season slowly, which I think was a case of managing his body as his snap count and receptions have increased, especially heading into the playoffs. Only 2 touchdowns all season, but he will see at least 1 endzone target for me.

Since returning from his injury, Hollins has seen his targets increase and play a big impact on the offence. Hollins is quirky, walks barefoot and has weird tendencies but no doubting his football ability. He has not recorded a touchdown since week 4, hence his odds, but with a player that gets 5+ targets a game, he is easily capable of ending up in the endzone.

The star of Seattle and a star of the NFL. JSN has had one of the most spectacular seasons in recent memory and is a constant threat not only deep but on catch after the run. He will be matched up by Christian Gonzalez, one of the NFL’s elite defenders meaning he has a harder task, but JSN is capable of shaking off anyone on any given day.

The perfect combo for Seattle with Kenneth Walker being elite out of the backfield and providing that duel threat the defences hate. He has had a stellar off season since his running back mate Charbonnet went down. Seattle’s offence scores big and we can see both landing here.
